Data collection consultants for gender-sensitive conflict analysis

OBJECTIVE

The objective of this consultancy is to collect data for a GSCA in Tripoli and Baalback. The data collection will include key informant interviews (KIIs) and focus group discussions (FGDs) in Tripoli and Baalback. Depending on the COVID-19 situation, the KIIs and FGDs would be conducted either in-person or via phone or online methods.

ACTIVITIES & TIMEFRAME

Activities will be conducted between July and September 2021, over approximately 25 working days (including both Tripoli and Baalback). Data collectors will be expected to attend a data collection induction workshop with the expert researcher and will be provided with the data collection and reporting tools. Reporting is expected to be completed in English.

DELIVERABLES

• Attend a data collection induction workshop.
• KIIs and FGDs reports in English language. KIIs and FGDs tools will be provided in English and in Arabic.
• Availability to participate in check-in meetings with the expert researcher and/or programme team along the data collection process.

Alert will retain final editorial rights on the commissioned piece. This includes professional copyediting and translation into Arabic. Should Alert deem it necessary, it reserves the right to commission additional inputs, reviews, or revisions, as needed to ensure the quality and relevance of the work.

The International Alert Lebanon Team will work closely with the consultants to coordinate the data collection and reporting process.
