About Rahma Medical Center

RMC is a reputable non-profit organization established in 1997, renowned as one of Lebanon's premier rehabilitation centers. Its distinguished status in the field stems from its exceptional services and patient-centered approach.

RMC's appeal lies in its highly experienced staff, offering a spectrum of therapies including physical and occupational therapy, speech therapy, and social and psychological services catering to individuals across all age groups, from children to adults. The center specializes in treating various conditions ranging from complex cases like cerebral palsy, spinal cord injury, stroke, and traumatic brain injury, to more common ailments such as chronic pain and sports injuries.

As part of its commitment to integrity and ethical conduct, RMC adheres strictly to a zero-tolerance policy on Sexual Exploitation and Abuse (SEA), ensuring the protection of beneficiaries. All staff are required to follow the Code of Conduct that upholds principles of Protection from Sexual Exploitation and Abuse (PSEA) both during and outside work hours, with mandatory training and familiarization with these guidelines.

Speech therapists at RMC fulfill vital role , evaluating individual student needs and crafting tailored programs to aid those with language and speech challenges. Their responsibilities encompass a wide range, from enhancing swallowing abilities, refining enunciation skills, providing vocal guidance, to supporting students recovering from voice loss. Collaborating closely with families, teachers, and caregivers, speech therapists devise comprehensive treatment plans and educate stakeholders on implementing therapy elements effectively.

Maintaining meticulous records, writing evaluations and education plans, attending meetings and conferences, and staying abreast of advancements in the field are among the core duties of speech therapists at RMC. Additional responsibilities include evaluating student progress, utilizing appropriate technology, monitoring communication skills across settings, referring students to specialized services if necessary, managing equipment and scheduling treatment sessions, and conducting screenings for speech issues.
