Position: Specialized Trainer

Requirement: Conduct capacity building workshops to train capacities of 60 women and 30 girls on soft skills to feel economically empowered to further advance and seek opportunities.

Time-Frame for this assignment: July - September

Duration: 30 days

Location: Beirut and Mount Lebanon

 

About the project

This project will aim at reducing GBV against women and girls (from both Syrian and host communities) in Beirut and Mount Lebanon area, through enhancing protection, response and prevention mechanisms while ensuring quality access of women and youth to psycho-social and life skills services.

 

Overall goal of this assignment

 

Provide 60 women and 30 girls with the soft skills to feel empowered to further advance and seek opportunities focusing on the soft-skills and referral to job-placing agencies. 

 

Duties and Responsibilities

  • The Consultant will be responsible for conducting training workshops on skills and capacities to empower women and girl economically,
  • The consultant will be responsible for conducting coaching and soft skill building for 7 groups of women and girls over 30 days in total.
  • The Consultant is to share with the project team the relevant training tools, materials and methodology to be used during the workshop to ensure these are culturally sensitive to the targeted population;
  • The Consultant is to provide progress reports after finalizing activities in each targeted area, and to provide support in the application of the quality assurance procedures –in close coordination with the project team namely the project coordinator – through:
    • Assessing the satisfaction of targeted beneficiaries using the satisfaction survey
    • Facilitating complaint mechanism procedures through informing the targeted population of the complaint cycle procedures
    • Assessing impact of the provided activities through using MEAL tools, such as pre-post-tests, evaluation forms, etc…

 

Skills required

  • Previous extensive experience in providing capacity building workshops targeting youth groups on soft skills, economic and livelihood.
  • Previous experience in working in rural villages.
  • Previous knowledge of the cultural aspects (norms, traditions and beliefs) related to most vulnerable population in Lebanon (including Syrian, and Palestinian refugees and host communities).
