Under the supervision of the SWSL president and the Project Coordinators, the following are the specific responsibilities:

S/he will:

  • Manage the procurement process by coordinating with the project coordinators and setting efficient procurement plans.
  • Maintain and update supplier information, research, and evaluate prospective suppliers.
  • Manage inventories and maintain accurate purchase and pricing records.
  • Prepare budgets, cost analyses, and reports.
  • Understand Syndicate targets and objectives.
  • Enforce syndicate’s procurement policy and procedures.
  • Maintain positive supplier relations, negotiate well, make sure that materials, products, or services meet the syndicate’s specification, and ensure that purchased items are both cost-efficient and of high quality.
  • Compare, analyze, and approve with purchasing committee products and services to be purchased.

 

Qualifications:

Required

  • Excellent negotiation, communication, and interpersonal skills.
  • Strong organizational and time management skills, including the ability to work independently.
  • Good knowledge of the procurement process.
  • Efficiency while working under stress.
  • Strong attention to details.
  • Fluent in Arabic and English. French is a plus.

Additional

  • Good problem-solving capacity.
  • Work experience with local communities, children or vulnerable people.
