The Syndicate’s objectives:
1. Strengthen the Syndicate’s status and role in Lebanon, the Arab region and the world.
2. Organize the Syndicate’s administrative structure.
3. Strengthen the social work profession in the Lebanese society and protect the rights of professionals.
The Syndicate’s strategy:
1. Build a public relations network with local civil society organizations and international and regional organizations operating in Lebanon and in the Arab world.
2. Communicate with the current and potential members of the Syndicate and network with their institutions.
3. Strengthen the social work profession on the legal level.
The Syndicate’s programs and activities:
1. Capacity building program for social workers
2. Awareness program about the profession
3. Networking program with stakeholders (universities, trade unions, ministries, etc.)

5. Advocacy program for human rights and national social issues

Press Release

The Syndicate held a press conference on Saturday, December
14, 2019 at the Jdeideh Al-Bouchrieh Al-Sad Municipality at 12 noon. A large
number of social workers attended as well as representatives of private and
public universities, associations and unions. In her speech, President Nadia
Badran addressed the syndicate’s position on the current situation in the
country and a session of discussion and questions followed. Badran emphasized
that the profession of “Specialist in Social work in Lebanon” stands for “the
cause is the human being, where we share as professionals the suffering and
we unite to find opportunities”.

The Social Worker’s Syndicate in Lebanon, established under the number 1/41 from the Ministry of Labor on 1 February 1997working to protect the specialist and the beneficiary together, through the development of experts’ competences, promote the profession itself, and create favorable conditions for the qualified aspirations of concerned parties.
