ECHO project under INTERSOS will launch community-based initiatives (CBI) where women who live in vulnerable communities will get a training on business development skills in pursuit of reaching financial independence, self-confidence and self-empowerment.
INTERSOS is seeking the services of a Business/Life Coach. Upon the completion of 2 CBI's INTERSOS will conduct a performance evaluation for the coach that will tackle: Professionalism, content, flexibility, punctuality and other criteria. Based on that, INTERSOS might use the services of the coach for extra CBI's.

Each CBI will be held for 7 days spread over 7 weeks, according to the following objectives:

  • Day 1: Trust building group activity: Introduce each other by presenting, in an artistic manner, the idea they would like to materialize in the community.

  • Day 2: Workshop on identifying the elements of a project where the participants start working on each element during the workshop and back home in preparation for the next one. They set their objectives clearly, the resources needed, their SMART goals and the means through which they measure their accomplishment.

  • Day 3: Workshop on setting up a work plan and time management skills

  • Day 4: Workshop on financial planning and fundraising, where they have to come up with ideas that can fund their purchase of the basic material needed to start their project. Here, they will also be introduced to the concept of partnerships.

  • Day 5: Workshop on marketing and self-promotion: identifying different ways of reaching out to people, exchanging creative ideas and applying them, creating material on different social media platforms and platforms that link these specialized services to the target audience.

  • Day 6: Workshop on Creative Thinking and resourcefulness where they need to come up with numerous ways of utilizing limited resources given to them. This will unleash them from the mindset of poverty and lead them to the mindset of abundance.

  • Day 7: Workshop on Communication Skills and Team Building, where they will start building the team needed for the achievement of this project and learn the skills of effective communication.

INTERSOS will be responsible for transport of beneficiaries, venue and all needed material for the training.

The remuneration range is an estimation for the total project's CBI's (10 CBIs).
