As a proactive team member, the PM is expected to quickly establish a high level of credibility, build close working relationships with all internal and external constituencies to add value where and when needed and to maintain the well-being of the Association and a positive image vis-à-vis external stakeholders and the donor.

The candidate will particularly be responsible for the following tasks:
- Plan, direct, and coordinate project activities to ensure that goals and objectives are delivered on time, within budget and in conformance with donor’s regulations
   and standard procedures (International Labor Organization - ILO).
- Provide technical and managerial oversight, problem solving guidance, coordinate activities with stakeholders to ensure project continuity and efficient performance
   of project staff.
- Take responsibility for project cycle management of project components and resources as required and in coordination with the Trail Manager, including internal
   and external coordination, information management, operational, and financial oversight.
- Coordinate all components of the project with LMTA project team and project support office, community, concerned Lebanese authorities, ILO, and other
   constituencies in order to ensure that all components of the project are delivered satisfactorily in accordance with project goals and ILO plan and procedures, and in
   conformance with accountability requirements for the implementation of project activities.
- Oversee tender management, contract preparation and detailed analysis of submitted bids, together with budget control of all line items.
- Prepare technical, financial, progress, monitoring and evaluation (M&E), and any related reports and information required by the donor, particularly detailed       
   timelines, variance analysis, financing schedules, and forecast.
- Coordinate closely with relevant LMTA committees and staff: Trail Committee, Community Development Committee, Communication Committee, and ad hoc
   committees, Nature Conservation, Heritage Preservation, and LMTA staff.
- Ensure community participation and engagement in design and implementation of project components.
- Prepare monthly progress reports for the LMTA Board and the donor, showing results achieved, progress made, physical achievements, and expenditures.
- Develop and maintain effective relations with internal and external project stakeholders for the advancement of the project.
- Prepare in collaboration with the LMTA Communication Committee the communication and visibility plans and coordinate its implementation.
- Prepare, implement, and monitor risk management plans.
- Ensure all safety measures are well adopted during project implementation.
- Provide direction, coordination, task assignment, and performance evaluation of activities and project personnel.

Profile Required
- Advanced university degree in, business/economics, public administration, developmental projects, engineering, or any other related field of study.
- 10 to 15 years of recent and relevant project management experience preferably in hiking trail development and maintenance.
- Working knowledge of project management software, including Gant chart, timeline preparation, project tracking techniques, critical path, and milestone setting.
- Knowledge in the preparation of performance management plans for the monitoring and evaluation of activities and project team members.
- Experience in delivering projects funded by major European donors in Lebanon and the MENA region.
- Solid understanding to the sustainable tourism, rural development and the tourism value chain.
- Hands-on experience in engaging with municipalities and local communities.
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, and ability to communicate with different types of people.
- Team player, engaging, pro‐active, fair, and strong personality.
- A good balance of basic program and team management skills, including experience in managing diverse people and budgets.
- Excellent organizational skills and project management skills.
- Ability to work under pressure, to prioritize, and to handle a variety of different tasks.
- Language proficiency in spoken and written Arabic and English required.
- Computer literacy (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, PM software).
