PURPOSE OF POSITION

The purpose of the position is to coordinate the acquisition and management of resources for the World Vision Lebanon office, key areas of activity include :

Coordinating the acquisition of grants from public and private donors, particularly with research

Providing technical advice and support to ensure consistent quality and compliance amongst existing public and private grants and quality reporting

To implement financial policies in such areas, but not limited to: Approving documentation, approving payments, inputting data on Sun 6, Financial reporting, reconciliations and project auditing. To ensure the compliance with World Vision’s policies and to Donor’s policies as they relate to financial matters

The USAID/Lebanon Trade and investment Facilitation (TIF) Activity will facilitate the export of Lebanese goods and services to generate foreign exchange through investments and business enabling environment reform that simultaneously promote job creation, income generation, and improved livelihoods throughout the country. TIF has three objectives: 1) increased exports of Lebanese goods and services, 2) investment facilitation leading to increased domestic investment, and 3) improved business and investment enabling environment.

USAID’s “Quality Instruction towards Access and Basic Education Improvement” (QITABI 2) is seeking to improve learning outcomes for all students in public primary schools in Lebanon. Its activity targets an estimated 200,000 girls and boys, including those who are registered in second shifts of public schools.

HD’s mediation efforts in Iraq aim to promote the stability of the country through inclusive and sustainable dialogue between local actors and the Iraqi Government.
The Project Officer will be hired for a temporary period of 6 months (which could be extended based on funding availability) and will contribute to Iraq projects by supporting the Project Manager both administratively and substantively, closely following up the implementation of the project and monitoring the projects’ compliance with the strategic framework and internal procedures and policies.

United Cities Lebanon / BTVL leads the network of Lebanese local authorities that are members of the world organization United Cities and Local Governments (UCLG) (www.uclg.org). This organization aims at promoting the principles of local democracy, partnership and solidarity between cities, in particular by supporting decentralized cooperation programs and by mobilizing funding and technical support for the implementation of the international actions of its members.
