International Orthodox Christian Charities (IOCC) is a US-based international relief and development agency established in 1992 that offers emergency relief and development programs worldwide, without discrimination. Finance Officer

The mission of AFEMENA is needed now more than ever. Our world and our people are up against unending challenges – closing civil societies, the rise of nationalist governments, escalating anti-Black, anti-immigrant violence, discrimination of people already pushed to the margins, increased economic inequity, growing power of religious, cultural and economic conservatism, and the use of gender “paranoia” to mobilize masses of people toward these conservative and increasingly authoritarian agendas.

The Administration and Human Resources (HR) Assistant is a support position on the Lebanon ARE project. The main responsibilities of this position include assisting the Administration and Human Resources Manager with personnel hiring, onboarding, personnel filing, and paperwork, as well as, office logistic management and project inventory. The Administrative and HR Assistant will oversee the day-to-day operations of the project office, including overseeing personnel contracts, local and international travel logistics, and ensuring the office is fully equipped with the necessary supplies.

Founded in 1919, the IFRC comprises 187 member Red Cross and Red Crescent National Societies, a secretariat in Geneva and more than 60 delegations strategically located to support activities around the world. There are more societies in formation. The Red Crescent is used in place of the Red Cross in many Islamic countries.

The purpose of the position is to implement a functional Monitoring, Evaluation, Accountability and Learning (MEAL) system at field level. He/she provides leadership to the implementation of the MEAL plan for projects/programs. The MEL coordinator works with the senior MEL coordinator and with the project teams for the implementation of projects’ baselines and evaluations, as well as the implementation of standardized MEAL processes and tools for all sectors at field level.

Violence against persons with disabilities in general is a widely spread phenomenon. Millions of persons with disabilities worldwide suffer from physical, social, economic, cultural and legal barriers that limit their access to education, healthcare, including sexual and reproductive health, employment, care and protection systems, and put them at a greater risk of living in poverty and make them more vulnerable to violence, including GBV (UNFPA, 2018) .

The main tasks under this consultancy include:
• Desktop review of existing literature, articles, and reports related to crop rotation, its challenges, principles, impact of climate change and role in adaptation to climate change, etc.
• Interviews with experts in the field (LARI, ICARDA, Academic institutions, Ministry of Agriculture, etc.) and farmers in major production areas (Akkar, Beqaa) to depict the current practices, success stories, advantages and challenges of the crop rotation of different agriculture systems
