Mercy Corps has developed a Crisis Analytics function to support our programming in the most complex contexts, including Syria, Libya, the Democratic Republic of Congo, and others. The Lebanon Crisis Analytics Team, which was launched in Lebanon for the first time in August 2021, seeks to support Mercy Corps’ in-country programming as well as the wider humanitarian and crisis response in Lebanon, currently experiencing a highly volatile and rapidly developing series of concurrent crises. It does this through the provision of quality, timely and relevant analytical products.

DRC received registration from the Ministry of Interior in 2011, and since then has focused primarily on responding to the Syrian refugee crisis in Lebanon and the resulting impact on Lebanese host community. As a part of this, ACTED plans to support a community-based entity to set up a manufacturing facility for the local production of menstrual hygiene products in Bourj Hammoud, Saida and Tripoli. The project will provide support for equipment and raw materials, as well as staffing support to kick start operations and sales.
