Women's Platform to Lead

“Women Platform to Lead” (WPL) is a platform for women from Baalbek-Hermel. Currently it is being registered as a non-profit-organization including 320 women members from 14 communities, out of which 13 form the management board. Members of this platform participated for a period of 3 years in women empowering projects which aimed at strengthening their leadership and communication skills, managerial and financial capacities through training workshops, coaching sessions, mentoring, shadowing, advocacy trainings and micro funds to implement community projects. Throughout these projects, the women felt the need to become an independent body and decided to found the “Women Platform to Lead” organization.

Vision: Living in an open society, free from corruption, extremism, racism, and discrimination. A society in which love, peace, safety and prosperity prevails, and respect for women’s rights exists.

Mission: To develop the social level of all citizens by combating poverty and empowering women and youth in the fields of educational development and building their capacities and openness to the other, in order to create jobs and prove oneself.

Goals:
• Promote a culture of tolerance and acceptance of the other and work to protect human and family rights, promote civil peace, and combat domestic violence.
• Empower youth, women, and other marginalized groups, and strengthen their leadership roles on local and national levels.
• Develop the society culturally, socially, politically, environmentally, touristically, health-wise and economically.
• Promote the concepts of accountability, participation, citizenship and good governance, and apply them in society and management.

ملتقى السيدات للقيادة" هو جمعية رائدة قوامها الأساسي سيدات ناشطات، يهدف إلى تعزيز مشاركة المرأة في الحياة الإجتماعية والسياسية، ودعمها لممارسة نشاطاتها على الصعيدين المحلي والوطني ودعم دورها في تنمية المجتمع
تتألف الهيئة العامة من 320 سيدة ناشطة و تتألف الهيئة التأسيسية من 13 عضو تم إنتخابها من قبل الهيئة العامة وفقاً للنظام الداخلي للملتقى

رؤيتنا: العيش في مجتمع منفتح، خال من الفساد، العصبية، العنصرية والتفرقة بين البشر. مجتمع تسود فيه المحبة، السلام، الأمان والبحبوحة وتمارس فيه المرأة دورها القيادي الرائد سياسياً وإجتماعياً
رسالتنا: تنمية المستوى الاجتماعي للمواطنين كافة عن طريق مكافحة الفقر وتمكين النساء والشباب في المجالات السياسية والتربوية والتنموية، وبناء قدراتهم والانفتاح على الاخر من أجل خلق فرص عمل وإثبات الذات وإتاحة المجال للعب أدوارهم السياسية والإجتماعية

أهدافنا
• تعزيز ثقافة التسامح وقبول الآخر، والعمل على حماية حقوق الإنسان والعائلة وتعزيز السلم الأهلي ومناهضة العنف الأسري
• تمكين الشباب والمرأة وسائر الفئات المهمشة (ثقافياً ومعيشياً وسياسياً) وتعزيز أدوارهم القيادية في المجتمع المحلي والوطني
• تنمية المجتمع ثقافياً وإجتماعياً وسياسياً وبيئياً وسياحياً وصحياً وإقتصادياً
• تعزيز مفاهيم المحاسبة والمشاركة والمواطنة والحكم الرشيد والعمل على تطبيقها في المجتمع والإدارة
