Job Overview:

We are seeking a passionate and dedicated individual to join our team as a Community Mobilizer for Gender Equality Sessions. The selected candidate will play a pivotal role in delivering educational sessions aimed at promoting gender equality to both women and men within the community. The Community Mobilizer will undergo comprehensive training on the curriculum and will be responsible for engaging and mobilizing community members to actively participate in the project.

 

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Curriculum Delivery:
    • Implement gender equality curriculum in accordance with project guidelines.
    • Facilitate interactive sessions that encourage critical thinking and open dialogue on gender-related issues.
    • Ensure the delivery of content is culturally sensitive and tailored to the needs of the community.
  2. Community Engagement:
    • Mobilize community members to participate in gender equality sessions.
    • Build and maintain positive relationships with diverse community groups.
    • Foster an inclusive and respectful environment for open discussions on gender issues.
  3. Training Commitment:
    • Attend and actively participate in training sessions to gain a thorough understanding of the curriculum.
    • Demonstrate a commitment to continuous learning and professional development.
    • Utilize acquired knowledge to enhance the quality of gender equality sessions.
  4. Project Commitment:
    • Dedicate time and effort to the successful implementation of the gender equality project.
    • Collaborate with team members to achieve project goals and objectives.
    • Actively contribute to project planning and evaluation processes.
  5. Safeguarding:
    • Uphold and promote the highest standards of safeguarding in all interactions with community members.
    • Report and address any safeguarding concerns promptly and appropriately.
    • Foster a safe and supportive environment for participants to share their perspectives.

 

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in a related field (social work, gender studies, education, etc.) or equivalent experience.
  • Strong communication and facilitation skills.
  • Cultural sensitivity and the ability to adapt content to diverse audiences.
  • Commitment to gender equality and social justice.
  • Previous experience in community mobilization or education is an asset.
