Strategic Planning Consultant

OBJECTIVES AND RESULTS

UPEL aims through its programs to support and strengthen child protection systems on a local level. It also provides the opportunities for technical support and training for workers who are activists in the child protection sector

For this aim UPEL is seeking proposals from competent Consultants specialized in the field Strategic Planning to undertake a Strategic Review of the association and develop strategy for achieving the strategic objectives and key results.

Scope of work:

1. Review the vision and mission based on UPEL mandate
2. Complete a SWOTE analysis for the over-all programs
3. Identify focus areas and develop strategic objectives and key results
4. Undertake stakeholder mapping and analysis
5. Hold stakeholder meeting(s) to validate the draft Strategic Plan
6. Undertake a situation analysis of UPEL operations
7. Review the institutional capacity, organizational set-up, financial and administrative systems

and make recommendations, if any

1. Develop a Results and Resources Framework for the plan period
2. Finalize the Strategic plan and submit it

Final Report

At the end of the training (within the period of 1 week) the consultant is committed to provide a final report including a written update of the evaluation, listing completed activities.

Consultancy Duration

The consultancy Period will take place between March 17th  & April 9^th ,2021

Skills:

• • High level written and oral communications skills in English and Kiswahili
  • Must be result-oriented, a team player, exhibiting high levels of enthusiasm, tact, diplomacy and integrity
  • Demonstrate excellent interpersonal and professional skills in interacting with government and development partners;
  • Skills in facilitation of stakeholder engagements/workshops;
  • Evidence of having undertaken similar assignments;
  • Experience in research, policy development, management and programming-related work.
