Job Overview

The SRH coordination associate,  is responsible for providing cross-cutting administrative, operational and coordination support to the MoPH Reproductive Health unit/program, which encompasses, maternal and newborn health (MNH),  family planning (FP) , detection and prevention for sexually transmitted infections (STI), early detection of the RH cancers, nutrition for pregnant and lactating women  & adolescent sexual and reproductive health and rights (ASRHR), menstrual hygiene and mental health .  The associate works in close collaboration with relevant department team members, and follows-up on all SRH related activities and campaigns. In addition to the above, the incumbent responsibilities will contribute to ensuring proper and timely implementation of UNFPA supported project with MOPH.

This position is housed at the Ministry of Public Health.



Bachelor’s Degree in Nursing, Public Health, or another related clinical field, required.

At least five (5) years of experience in project coordination in health care field preferably in SRH.

Excellent organizational, verbal and written communication, problem solving and team facilitation skills, required.

Ability to develop recommendations and provide consultation to solve problems related to organizational compliance; ability to exercise judgment in interpreting and applying standards, policies and procedures.

Ability to work with a varied of disciplines and levels of staff across departments

Proficient in use of Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook).

Fluent in English and Arabic (French is of added value)


Supports the day-to-day implementation of the administrative decisions for the Reproductive Health program within the PHC department, ensuring strong communication, organization, planning, and coordination within the team. Specific duties include:

Proactively coordinate and support the preparation and execution of meetings, workshops, webinars, teleconferences and events related to SRH, and follow up on preparation of minutes of meetings and implementation of recommendations

Assess the training needs of Health Care Providers in MOPH PHCs on SRH topics to ensure basic knowledge in all essential topics, advise on the training needs and areas for improvement on SRH of the staff, coordinate and develop the training plan accordingly.

Support monitoring and reporting of SRH drugs and assist with forecasting and placing SRH drugs and supplies orders.

Support and monitor the planning, implementation and coordination of all SRH, Hygiene Promotion and risk communication activities at the Ministry, Primary healthcare centers and dispensaries in coordination with the UNV Expert especially on the communication part.

Plan, organize and coordinate all SRH project-related training and distribution activities in collaboration with the Head of the Department.

Schedule and conduct regular field visits to PHCs and RH dispensaries across Lebanon to assure optimal implementation of the SRH program along with other adjuvant programs. (It is foreseen to have 2 field visits/ week). Guidance will be provided to the incumbent by PHC personnel on the facilities monitoring process in terms of concrete actions, use of proper tools, checklists, submission of reports, etc.

Assess patient/ beneficiary’s experience through satisfaction survey and ensure reporting of results as well as recommend changes to the processes when/ as needed. The associate should assist in developing the tool, data collection, analysis and quarterly reporting. The surveys can be part of the field visit or (CATI) Computer Assisted Telephone Interviewing.

Assess implementation of services as per available guidelines and protocols to reach and maintain unified, safe and high quality SRH services.

With support from the data analyst at MoPH, ensure that RH indicators are tracked, closely monitored and properly reported on quarterly and yearly basis as per list of indicators to be set in collaboration with UNFPA.

Ensure regular meetings and strong connection with UNFPA team and Network /build very strong connections with the other actors on the ground, including PHCCs, dispensaries, UN agencies, INGOs/ NGOS, municipalities etc …

Drafting and copy-editing presentations, documents, and reports related to SRH.

Notetaking, tracking and following up on action items, providing technology and logistics support, and other administrative support functions related to SRH as needed.

Any other tasks as required by the Head of the Department.
