​​​​​​SHAHD Association is a Lebanese non-profit association founded in 2016 and registered with the Ministry of Interior and Municipalities under the No. 2510, its main office is located in Baalbek along with its Multi Service Community Center Ibdaa. Following the Sustainable Development Goals and in line with the Human Rights principles, SHAHD is working to meet the humanitarian needs and strengthening the local community through Protection, Education, Basic Assistance and livelihood Sectors, maintaining the basic principles of humanitarianism, neutrality, impartiality and independence. In coordination and networking with local associations and international organizations, we are responding to the humanitarian crisis and alleviating the human suffering from the emergency situations, fighting poverty and supporting socio-economic development initiatives for youth and women, stimulating inclusive lifelong learning, empowering capacities, and providing access to education for all, along with providing high quality of protection services to the neediest populations without discrimination.

Mission Statement: Empowering a society that guarantees and advocates the rights of Palestinian children and youth and increases their potential for better life quality.

The overall purpose of this institutional development process is to support SHAHD to strengthen its capacity based on the results of a rapid Capacity Assessment to be conducted at assignment initiation. The assessment is to cover 10 functional areas relevant to any organization implementing international grants. Following the assessment, an updated capacity strengthening plan is to be set and implemented over two phases.
