What you will do:
- Contribute to the effective implementation of child protection activities by delivering awareness sessions and providing psychosocial support.
- Assist in implementing recreational psychosocial activities tailored to the children's ages.
- Collect and record attendance of children during activities, and complete daily reports as required
- Promote and ensure active participation of children in all activities.
- Support outreach efforts to engage beneficiaries.
- Identify necessary materials for activities and inform the CM officer for procurement.
- Complete individual and collective assignments as directed by the supervisor.
- Interact positively with participants, encouraging them to express their needs and ensuring their safety.
- Ensure that participants feel safe, comfortable, and respected during activities.
- Make sure all participants are aware of any accountability or complaint mechanisms.
- Adhere to the organization’s internal code of conduct and policies.
- Report any observed problems or needs to the CM officer for necessary support or referral to other support networks.
- Safely Identify and refer cases of children at risk of separation / unaccompanied children.
Qualifications and Experience:
- Good Knowledge of the area of implementation - T5 and Akkar.
- Experience working with Children.
- Social work experience and/or experience in humanitarian work preferably in emergencies.
- Ability to work with refugees in underprivileged settings.
- Excellent creativity skills.
- Excellent communication skills especially with children.
- Excellent interpersonal skills.
- Dynamic personality and ability to work under pressure.
- Commitment to the values, vision, and mission of SCI.
- Commitment and respect for the SCI code of conduct.
