About Rural Entrepreneurs: Rural Entrepreneurs is a non-profit organization initiated in 2015 in Shouf, Mount Lebanon, in response to the growing concerns about youth and women's unemployment and marginalization in rural areas. The organization was officially cofounded later on by a group of Lebanese entrepreneurs and professionals who believe in the value of investing in human capital and are committed to sharing their knowledge and experience to prepare youth and women to progress in their careers and become business leaders.

 Duties & Responsibilities

  • Develop a communication strategy that is in line with the organization’s values and goals.
  • Undertake on-site visits when needed to collect and document the implementation of programs through photos, videos, audio, and other multimedia formats to be utilized in the production of communication material.
  • Write press releases of projects’ activities in both Arabic and English and disseminate them to relevant stakeholders, including news agencies.
  • Manage and update the association’s websites and social media platforms, and respond to media inquiries.
  • Assure RE and its Partner/ Donor’s visibility and branding on-site through the design and procurement of promotional material, and online.
  • Support in the production of presentations, video editing, info-graphs, leaflets, newsletters, and press releases.
  • Support youth-led initiatives that RE works with to maximize their visibility during project implementation.
  • Guide the media team on how to produce quality material (photos and videos) as per agreed upon guidelines and samples.
  •  Archive communication material properly for diverse use by the association.
  • Seek opportunities to enhance the reputation of the organization, and coordinate publicity events as required.
  • Support and advise RE’s team on hardware and software tech-updates and solutions, and support in strengthening RE’s internal communication.
  • Support RE in organizing seminars, workshops, press conferences and high-level meetings and ensure visibility;

Additional duties and responsibilities 

  • Actively participate in all training sessions as directed by management including SEA-related training sessions and awareness-raising efforts
  • Uphold the code of conduct, Child Protection Policy, and all RE policies
  • Support for dissemination of PSEA materials
  • Report in good faith all potential allegations of SEA (even if not evidenced) through the Child Protection Focal Point. 
  • When requested participate in investigations of possible SEA allegations
  • Coordinate with other staff of the project
  • Other tasks as directed by the Management.

Education, Experience and Skills

  • A bachelor degree or equivalent years of experience in fields of Social Work, Public Relations, Radio/TV, marketing, and/or other relevant fields.
  • Excellent reporting, communication, interpersonal skills, and proactive negotiation skills.
  • Have skills in working with people of all ages and social groups.
  • Skilled at working with local communities and authorities
  • Outgoing and engaging personality with confidence to interact face to face with individual and corporate donors.
  • A high degree of personal initiative with the desire and ability to meet aggressive programmatic goals.
  • Flexibility and ability to infuse creativity, innovation, and insight into program fulfillment as we expand our programs.
  • Superior organizational and time management skills. Able to multitask and work through stringent deadlines while maintaining focus on priorities.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with thorough knowledge of Arabic and English
  • Availability and willingness to work outside regular office hours occasionally
