About WHRDMENA Coalition: WHRDMENA Coalition is a membership-based coalition of organizations and women human rights defenders engaging with and defending a spectrum of rights and struggles in MENA. The Coalition works through different tracks such as advocacy, digital security, documentation, knowledge production and dissemination to highlight and amplify the work of Women Human Rights Defenders in MENA.

2020 has been a turning point year for a lot of WHRDs and contexts in the region, and in order to move forward, the Coalition will hire three researchers who will navigate and explore questions related to three main themes, which are:
Major trends and analysis of WHRDs in the MENA 2015-2020.
WHRDs in the areas of sexuality, displacement and migrations.
Impact of funding on the work of WHRDs in MENA.

Call for experts and trainers to work with WHRDMENA Coalition

Call

the WHRDMENA Coalition is looking for trainers and experts in several fields: human rights and advocacy, feminism and feminist organizing, documentation, wellbeing and mental health. The experts will assume various tasks and responsibilities explained below, but the most prominent of them relate to providing support, knowledge and training for women human rights defenders, provided that these methodologies are adapted to the needs of WHRDs and their own contexts in the region.

Job

The role will be admin support to the existing employees, including contracting and task sheet verifications. The role will lead the discussion with accountancy companies, Partners in Spain, and lawyers. They will also follow up on needed steps to keep the WHRDMENA functioning as per the legal requirements of Spain.

في العام 2021، اختبر التحالف فكرة الدوائر كفضاء وكممارسة وذلك عبر تنظيم دوائر تعلم على المواضع التالية: كيف نراسل المقررين الخواص ولماذا؟ كيف نفهم المناصرة من وجهة نظر تقنية، وكيف تكون رسائل حملاتنا ومناصرتنا مجندرة (أي مبنية على الجندر)، كما اختبرنا مهارات التواصل غير العنيف، والدورة الشهرية، وعلاقتها بمشاعرنا، وأجسادنا. البعض منها كان مقاما من أفراد وزميلات، والبعض الأخر تم تقديمه من مؤسسات حليفة وتقنية في مجال حقوق الإنسان. شاركنا استمارة رضى مع المشاركات في الدوائر، وحصلنا على مقترحات سيتم إدماجها في الدوائر لعام 2022.
