About NAHNOO

NAHNOO is a research and advocacy platform for participatory policy-making. It is a youth-led non-governmental organization rallying volunteers across Lebanon to work towards an inclusive society, through advocacy campaigns that promote: Good Governance, Public Spaces, and Cultural Heritage.

Through multidisciplinary and participatory research, capacity-building workshops, and grassroots activities, we provide a platform for youth and professionals to lead the planning and implementation of advocacy campaigns and gain the skills needed to impact policy-making at the local and national levels.

Job Description:

We are looking for a full time communication and copywriting who can deliver our messages in the most efficient and accurate way, reflecting NAHNOO’s voice and image via our social media channels, emails, and website and press releases.

In this role he/she will be responsible for creating creative content related to all the campaigns and projects we are working on.

 

Key Responsibilities:

- Develop social media & outreach strategies and produce high-engagement content that reflects NAHNOO’s voice, for, but not limited to, Facebook, Twitter, Instagram and our website (www.nahnoo.org).
- Efficiently identify target audiences: monitoring insights, statistics and engagement indicators over our social media pages to improve our reach and visibility.
- Community management: promptly respond to comments and messages in a professional manner adhering to our social media guidelines.
- Draft press releases
- Draft letters to various stakeholders
- Simultaneously manage multiple projects with tight deadlines

 

Qualification: 

- Bachelor’s degree in Communications, Media &/or Journalism
- Have previous relevant experience in the Lebanese media environment, as a Communication Officer or similar
- Have the ability to create unique communication material within a tight deadline
- Have strong social media skills especially for Facebook, Twitter, Instagram, Blog 
- Excellent communication skills, in written and verbal Arabic and English
- Have the ability to prioritize work issues to meet deadlines
- Exceptional skills with the nuance of social media microcopy and writing, including the use of keywords “hashtags”
- Have good research and reading skills
- Demonstrate initiative and team spirit
- Photography and design skills are a plus
