Description: 

 

  • Transport hospitalized patients to treatment units, testing units, operating rooms, or other areas, using wheelchairs, or stretchers.
  • Help in transporting patients in ambulance from the hospital to another.
  • Transport deceased patients to the morgue.
  • Transport specimens, laboratory items, or pharmacy items, ensuring proper documentation and delivery to authorized personnel
  • Bring needed equipment, and lab results requested during arrest.
  • Direct visitors and patients’ families when needed.
  • Answer telephone.
  • Perform such duties as holding instruments, specimens to laboratory departments.
  • Collect and send equipment needed for sterilization to CSSD department during day and evening shifts.
  • Provide nursing units with needed supplies.
  • Perform daily round on assigned nursing floors
  • Perform personal hygiene care to patients (bathing, oral care, hair care, perineal care, etc…)
  • Perform postmortem care (cleanness, roll in clean cover…)
  • Assist patients in elimination hygiene (bathroom, bedpans, urinals)
  • Turn or reposition bedridden patients.
  • Lift or assist nurses to lift patients to move them on or off beds, examination tables, or stretchers.
  • Help organize patient’s environment by ensuring cleanliness and tidiness of patient’s room.
  • Maintain patient safety by practicing proper: patient identification, infection control practices, and PPEs.
  • Maintain professional communication and etiquette with all patients, visitors, and other health care personnel
