Mada Association is seeking a Graphic Designer for the design of a farmer booklet under the BMZ-funded project ‘Strengthening the resilience of Syrian refugees and Lebanese host communities in northern Lebanon to the consequences of the country's socio-economic crises by promoting food and income security, rehabilitation of water-related and agricultural infrastructure, trainings, initial provision of households’, implemented by Mada Association in partnership with arche noVa.

The Graphic Designer will be in charge of:

  • Designing the Farmer Booklet ensuring readability and visual appeal in line with Mada’s visual identity and other visibility material. The content of the booklet is of 25 A4 pages, including graphs and images, and excluding the cover page.
  • Design custom illustrations, images or graphics to complement the written content provided by Mada in the word document whenever needed, and replace current graphs/images in the content to ensure they are more visually appealing, in line with Mada’s visual identity, and unique (to avoid using those downloaded from websites).
  • Make necessary revisions based on feedback to ensure that the final design meets the objectives and requirements.
  • Propose specifications for the printing of the Farmer Booklet – page type, cover, etc.

Deliverables:

- The complete Farmer Booklet designed and ready for printing.

  • Specifications for the printing of the booklet.

Minimum Qualification and Experience

  • University Degree or Technical Degree in Graphic Design
  • Strong practical background in graphic design, including the use of design software such as Adobe Design Premium, In-Design, CorelDraw, web design tools such as Dreamweaver and Flash, etc.
  • Proven experience of graphic design from start to published/printed product with knowledge of printing processes (offset and digital) and colour management,
  • Knowledge of standard software packages, including MS Office– MS Access–MS Visio – Adobe Acrobat.
  • Working experience in development or humanitarian environments is desirable.
