The Legal Agenda (LA) is seeking to commission a Workplace Health and Wellbeing Consultant during to develop a wellbeing policy and procedures customized for Legal Agenda.

About Legal Agenda

The Legal Agenda is a Beirut-based non-governmental non-profit organization, with a branch in Tunisia. The organization addresses issues of legal activism, reform, and transformation in the context of social and political change in the Arab world. Legal Agenda’s team composed of jurists, researchers, and journalists aim to lift the barriers between the law and society in the Arab region so that those in power no longer monopolize lawmaking, and instead ordinary citizens can understand the process, criticize it, and participate in it.

LA’s specialized and alternative media platforms publish the organization’s socio-legal analysis and comparative research, policy monitoring articles, and journalistic investigations on a daily basis. The organization also engages in strategic litigation and advocacy campaigning to advance socio-economic rights and liberties, particularly on issues that affect the environment, the rights and freedoms of women, refugees, workers, detainees, disabled people, and other vulnerable groups.

 

Main Responsibilities

In close a collaboration with the Legal Agenda team, the consultant will be responsible of:

  1. Assessing the current work environment of Legal Agenda and identify risks and opportunities related to the wellbeing of its staff
  2. Deliver a customized awareness session to managers and staff members to discuss the findings and how to identify and manage work-related stress factors
  3. Develop a customized wellbeing policy and procedures for Legal Agenda that:
    • Provides advice, information and tools to minimize the risks associated with work related stress;
    • Outlines strategies and tools intended to deal with individual causes of stress
    • Outlines specific roles, responsibilities and procedures at Legal Agenda for managing work-related stress;

 

Related skills and experience

 

 

  • Master's Degree in Psychology, Public Health, Community Health, Education or Equivalent
  • Experience in community psychosocial & mental health work
  • Experience in training, research, assessments & resource development.
  • Experience in the field of staff-care & self-care.
  • Knowledge of health and wellbeing in the workplace
  • Excellent writing skills
