RDFL_Trainer to conduct safety skills training

 1. Background information

With the support of the Irish Aid fund and in partnership with Trocaire, RDFL is
implementing a project titled empowering Women and Girls: Nurturing Resilience
Through Psychosocial Support, Accountability, and Capacity Building for
Sustainable Humanitarian Response in Bekaa.

To achieve this overall objective, the project will implement activities under three main
goals:

GOAL 1: Women, men, adolescent girls and adolescent boys including GBV survivors use GBV specialized interventions and psychosocial

support to meet their needs and preferences

GOAL 2: Communities and people affected by crisis can hold Trocaire and local partners accountable against our commitments for an

inclusive, dignified, and safe response.

GOAL 3: Partners actively implement approaches to strengthen their capacity over time, with Trocaire support

 

Under the capacity building component, RDFL is initiating basic safety training for all employees and subsequently provide advanced

training as needed under Goal 3.

Based on the above, RDFL is looking for a trainer to conduct safety skills training for front-liners and educators in Bekaa.

2. Expected deliverable timeline  : 1rst week of october 2024

3.Responsibility

Deliver 1 day face to face Training in RDFL’s Office in Bekaa, Douris about safety skills for the front-liners and educators.

Suggest different topics for safety skills that help employees to manage stress at the workplace and have healthy work environment such as Evacuation procedures, first aid, how to report incidents and staff well-being.

Develop training materials contextualized for the situation in Lebanon and Bekaa.

Develop the training in Arabic language.

Prepare pre and post-tests.

Incorporate best practices in the curriculum to ensure the highest quality of training.

Provide continuous support and guidance to participants during training sessions

Maintain accurate record of training sessions, participant attendance, and feedback.

Prepare and submit a report on training activities, outcomes, and recommendations for improvement.

4. Trainer qualifications

1.Certifications such as Certified Safety Professional (CSP) or Occupational Health and Safety Technologist (OHST) are highly desirable

2.Proven experience in a safety-related role, preferably within the NGOs.

3.Strong communication and presentation skills.

4.Ability to develop and manage safety training programs. At least 2-3 years of experience in facilitating training sessions, preferably in a GBV or humanitarian context.

5.Additional certification or training in GBV is preferred.

6.Strong knowledge of GBV, its impact on survivors, and effective support strategies.

7.Excellent facilitation and presentation skills, with the ability to engage and motivate participants.

8.Excellent verbal and written communication skills.

9.Ability to communicate sensitively and effectively with GBV survivors and other stakeholders.

10.Strong interpersonal skills, with the ability to work collaboratively in a team environment.

11.Empathy, patience, and a non-judgmental attitude towards survivors of GBV.

12.Willingness to travel to different project locations if required.

13.Dedication to maintaining the confidentiality and dignity of all participants.
