Essential Responsibilities and Duties

  1. Ensure the implementation of project activities in the field office defined by the Program Manager PM in coordination with staff attached to the respective projects 
  2. Organize internal and external meetings for discussion at the field level on project performance and to ensure coordination with stakeholders.
  3. Create a smooth working environment at all levels of the project area.
  4. Liaise with concerned authorities and ensure the program strategy, objectives and activities are understood and agreed upon, and that appropriate communication channel is in place
  5. Organize regular evaluation meetings of team members.
  6. Working with the Program Manager to prepare proposals and follow up on available funding opportunities.
  7. Working on archiving all reports, projects, and contracts.
  8. Organize monthly meetings with the team and report the outcome to the PM.
  9. Ensure that lessons and best practices derived through the implementation of the project are well articulated and documented
  10. Coordinate with the relevant sectors and agencies in implementing projects activities at district and community levels to identify areas and staff for capacity building
  11. Be directly responsible for the technical guidance, management, and implementation of the Water, Sanitation, and Hygiene (WASH), FSL, and NFIs Programmes.
  12. Effectively manage the WASH, FSL, and NFIs projects using appropriate tools to ensure projects are delivered on time, on budget, and to the expected quality.
  13. Ensure that required technical quality standards are adhered to in all activities and interventions, which are technically appropriate, realistic, and on budget.
  14. Establishing a network with the INGOs, UN agencies, local authorities, and other actors in the area (Wash, NFIs, FSL, etc.)
  15. Develop productive working relationships with Non-Governmental institutions and other project partners
  16. Establishing linkage with community leaders and representatives
  17. Participate in the relevant sub-cluster meetings and other related forums at the district or governorate level
  18. Conduct regular meetings with other project staff to discuss and document lessons learned.
  19. Generate ideas to strengthen the development of WASH, FSL, and NFIs projects in Lebanon
  20. Conduct all duties in a professional manner following QRCS regulations
  21. Ability to handle multiple tasks on an ongoing basis and adapt to a shift or change in priorities, including the ability to work a flexible work schedule as needed to meet deliverable deadlines
  22. Compile the weekly and monthly statistics and activity reports and submit them to the PM
  23. Report and communicate the progress and achievement of specific assigned objectives as per the project work plan and finalize reports with district governmental offices and concerned institutions.
  24. Document and share lessons learned in a comprehensive and detailed manner to enable tracking the project changes on a timely basis
  25. Provide written feedback when and if there is a need to alter the project as appropriate to maximize the impact.

Function Specific Experience

  • Knowledge and practical experience in water and sanitation, FSL, and NFIs.
  • Experience in budget monitoring.
  • Proven experience in the project management field.
  • Excellent writing skills with the ability to produce project documents.
  • Ability to plan and organize work independently with appropriate follow-up while paying close attention to detail and showing initiative in completing tasks and projects in a timely manner.
  • Ability to read and abstract information from a variety of sources/formats
  • Supervisory skills with proven ability to manage a demanding workload.
  • Training provision and teamwork abilities.
  • Previous experience working in conflict environments is an asset.
  • Understanding of delivering humanitarian response in insecure environments.
  • Experience across the entire project cycle from design, planning, implementation, monitoring, and evaluation, particularly for projects and programs targeting vulnerable groups and those marginalized, such as refugees, older people, women, and people with disabilities.
  • Proven experience in preparing and managing project proposals for non-profit organizations.
  • Experience in team coordination.
  • Computer literate, especially in MS Word and Excel
  • Good knowledge of data collection software and techniques, especially KoboCollect - Mobile Data Collection software.
  • Familiarity with the QRCS program area is highly desired

 

Industry Related Experience

  • Previous experience in working with NGOs
  • Previous experience as an LRC volunteer is an asset.
