II. Assignment Objectives
A Supply and Value Chain specialist manages the transportation and storage of goods between the manufacturer and the consumer. Their primary duties are to manage product development, monitor inventory, supervise transportation and storage, and oversee other day-to-day supply chain logistics for their company or organization.

III. Duties and Responsibilities
The SVCM will have the following responsibilities:

  • Work with supply chain team to ensure customer needs are fulfilled.
  • Assist with procurement and inventory control.
  • Optimize inventory performance via trend forecasting.
  • Update information in our vendor management system.
  • Maintain and process documentation.
  • Ensure compliance with company policies and procedures.

IV. Specific Tasks to be Undertaken

  • Support the Branch Manager, Supply Chain Manager, Project Manager, Technician, Customer Service and team members in all aspects of day-to-day operations to ensure that the day-to-day supply chain business results are achieved.
  • Ensure all material requisition orders, regular sales orders, and transfer warehouse orders are fulfilled on a regular basis.
  • Assist, support, and provide backup coverage for all Supply Chain team members.
  • Understand and execute all Supply Chain activities such as stock take, physical inventory count, inventory accuracy in allocation and consumption, material demand, sales order entry, and purchase order entry if needed.
  • Maintain Work Order Management system and understanding of production work order / material commitment, and back flushing.
  • Assess and manage inventory levels to ensure continuity of supply
  • Liaise with project managers, technicians, customer service, buyers, and Sales to provide delivery dates and shipping information.
  • Manage Shipper / Receiver.
  • Maintain and updates ERP and make sure accuracy level is optimum. Prepare transportation documents based on the contract terms and conditions.

  • Ability to lead implementation of new systems (monitoring and evaluation area), and affect attitudinal change.

  • Proactive approach to work, good follow-up and follow-through.

VIII. Required Skills and Experience

  • A bachelor's degree in business, economics, or a related field plus several years of experience with supply chain operations, preferably in management.
  • Have good interpersonal, analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills, attention to detail, and the ability to multitask in a time-sensitive environment.
  • Knowledge of and experience in planning.
  • Fluency in both written and spoken English and Arabic are required.
