About Karma

Karma is a Lebanese NGO registered at the Lebanese Ministry of Interior in November 2015 under the registration number 2565. Karma was founded in May 2015. Through fundraising and personal donations, we raise money to pay for the tertiary medical treatment of refugee and underprivileged children here in Lebanon. Karma provides not only financial but also psyho-social relief for people who have already dealt with a lot in their lives. Karma believes that every child deserves access to healthcare regardless of nationality, religion, social class or diagnosis.

About the Team

Karma, an organization reliant on volunteers and their contributions, is recruiting a team of interns that will assist in communications, outreach, events planning, and activity management. These interns will be placed into the finance department but will work as a team to contribute to Karma’s overall strategy.

Eligibility

We welcome applications from undergraduates or fresh graduates or those in the process of completing their master’s degree. Those majoring in business are prioritized.

The internship is for the period of mid-May and till mid-July. Interns will be expected to work for 2 days a week. a Candidates should be knowledgeable about Karma’s work and should have the working capacity in English. Arabic is also highly desirable.

Main Tasks

Under the supervision of the Finance Officer, interns will be expected to: 

  • Shadowing members of the Accounting department as they perform their duties.
  • Assisting with research, filing, data entry, and recording and maintaining accurate and complete financial records.
  • Preparing financial reports, such as balance sheets and income statements, invoices, and other documents.

The intern will receive a completion letter for their internship and Karma will sign off on internship verification forms for university students. Interns will also receive LBP 15,000 per diem.
