Scope of work:

The Project Coordinator (BML) will be responsible for overseeing the implementation of the child protection program within the Beirut/Mount Lebanon areas and will be working closely with the Child Protection managers as well as field staff members.

Main Tasks and Responsibilities (include but are not limited to):

  • Conducts regular site visits to ensure the proper delivery of activities and report to the Child Protection Program Coordinator on any challenges;
  • Maintains an archive of all the activities;
  • Supervises the overall activities conducted in BML including static and mobile safe spaces;
  • Supervises the schedule set by community mobilizers and psychologists in BML and ensures the delivery of sessions promptly;
  • Oversees the implementation of activities and evaluates the quality of provided sessions, in coordination with the M&E team and management team;
  • Conducts appraisal assessment with staff working in BML;
  • Ensures the achievement of the project’s objectives, indicators, and target groups within BML;
  • Prepares training logistics (venue, trainers, stationary, etc.) and analyzes evaluation outputs;
  • Assists in monitoring and evaluation of activities, and in identifying needs and gaps in assistance;
  • Participates in relevant KAFA assessments as needed;
  • Attends relevant meetings at the field level;
  • Supports preparation of all documents according to stated timelines;
  • Ensures an effective follow-up of the recommendations adopted during the meetings;
  • Assists the team in preparation of technical documents such as receipts, bids analysis, sole source, etc.;
  • Develops and Sustain collaboration with other stakeholders working on Child Protection;
  • Provides administrative and technical support, including making follow-ups with all partners on action points;
  • Ensures the timely submission of monitoring and evaluation reports;
  • Conducts awareness sessions for children, youth, and care givers on different topics related to child protection;
  • Coordinate on donor requests, field visits and reporting requirements; 
  • Submits regular monitoring and progress reports in English;
  • Undertakes other assignments from time to time, depending on the needs of the projects 
     

Required Qualifications (skills and Experience):

  • Bachelor’s Degree in any of the following disciplines; Sociology; Public Health; Social Work or other related studies  
  • At least three years of experience in project coordination in the GBV context
  • Demonstrated understanding of GBV in general and child protection in particular.
  • Experience in a non-governmental organization, and a good knowledge of local context and refugee and host communities in Beirut/Mount Lebanon;
  • Possess excellent report writing, presentation, and documentation skills Demonstrate ability to train and build the capacity of others.
  • Excellent time management skills and ability to multi-task and prioritize work.
  • Excellent English communication and interpersonal skills
  • Computer Literacy including Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint)
  • Teamwork.
