Just.Childhood Association in Lebanon was established in May 2014 in an attempt to support socially marginalized refugee children in their (human) right to education and to promote children’s rights to grow up free from fear and violence and to develop their full potential in order to contribute to a better future for themselves and their community.

The main aim of the educational work is encouraging and advancing the physical, emotional, mental and social strength of the children. They are being given the opportunity to strengthen their individual skills, as well as their group behavior. An integrated educational approach is providing the children with the knowledge, competencies in language and social skills that need to be achieved by entering school.

Call for Expression of Interest: Project Monitoring and Evaluation

Call

The project of Just.Childhood to be monitored and evaluated consists of the following three main measures, which are to be implemented within the project period, and the targeted project sub-objectives (outputs):
1. Development of a Center for Emergency and Trauma Pedagogy and Family Counseling.
2. Emergency and trauma pedagogical services for children aged 3 to 12 years in the Sabra and Shatila Camp, Karantina in Beirut, and adjacent neighborhoods
3. Further training in Emergency and Trauma Pedagogy for lecturers, students and specialists in education, psychology, therapy and medicine.

Art Therapist

Job

We are looking for an art therapist to join our Emergency Pedagogy Project and to deliver emergency pedagogical and psycho-social support activities four times per week for three hours daily in Just.Childhood’s centers in Sabra and Karantina.
The first and foremost responsibility of the educator is to be concerned with the overall welfare of the children, and to care for and respond to their individual needs on basis of emergency pedagogy and psycho-social support activities. The group of children in your care will be between the ages of 3 and 12 years old.
