Just.Childhood Association in Lebanon was established in May 2014 in an attempt to support socially marginalized refugee children in their (human) right to education and to promote children’s rights to grow up free from fear and violence and to develop their full potential in order to contribute to a better future for themselves and their community.

The main aim of the educational work is encouraging and advancing the physical, emotional, mental and social strength of the children. They are being given the opportunity to strengthen their individual skills, as well as their group behavior. An integrated educational approach is providing the children with the knowledge, competencies in language and social skills that need to be achieved by entering school.

Call for Expression of Interest: Project Monitoring and Evaluation

The project of Just.Childhood to be monitored and evaluated consists of the following three main measures, which are to be implemented within the project period, and the targeted project sub-objectives (outputs):
1. Development of a Center for Emergency and Trauma Pedagogy and Family Counseling.
2. Emergency and trauma pedagogical services for children aged 3 to 12 years in the Sabra and Shatila Camp, Karantina in Beirut, and adjacent neighborhoods
3. Further training in Emergency and Trauma Pedagogy for lecturers, students and specialists in education, psychology, therapy and medicine.

English Teacher

We are looking for an exceptional and inspirational English teacher in part time to work in our basic literacy and numeracy program in partnership with Skateistan’s “Skate & Create”

All our Programs are based on the principles of Waldorf Education; therefore, potential candidates should be open for adapting to the bases of this educational approach. We are looking for an English teacher to work for four days per week for four hours in the afternoon with two groups of children and youth over the course of three months in our main center in Sabra, Beirut.

Arabic & Math Teacher

We are looking for an exceptional and inspirational teacher in part time to work in our basic literacy and numeracy program in our Sports for Development Program.

Our curriculum is based on Waldorf Education, therefore potential candidates should be open for adapting to the bases of this educational approach. We are looking for a teacher to work for four days per week for four hours in the afternoon with two groups of children over the course of a year plus preparation, reporting and monitoring time, in our building in Sabra, Beirut.
