POSITION TITLE:  Business Coach

REPORTING TO: Programs Manager

COVERAGE AREA:  Lebanon

STATUS:  Full-time

PERIOD: 12 months renewable based on performance & availability of funds

Position Summary

The Business Coach will work closely with the Programs Manager in coordination with the Project Coordinators and Officers. The Business Coach will be reporting to the Programs Manager.

Responsibilities

Training Delivery

  • Attend the INJAZ Lebanon Training of Trainers’ workshop
  • Deliver ideation, business development, and other Entrepreneurship programs of INJAZ Lebanon
  • Support closely youth teams in developing their project’s idea, business plan, and budgets
  • Communicate sessions’ progress to line manager and maintain participants’ attendance records
  • Submit the weekly report on progress to line manager and finance department
  • Conduct market research and need assessment surveys 

Coaching

  • Review youth projects’ business model to ensure financial viability and sustainability.
  • Provide weekly incubation support to youth teams to further develop their idea and run their project
  • Incubation support will be given based on a specific methodology that covers: idea validation and refinement, customer development, customer relationships, project value proposition and qualities, cost assessment, and revenue model
  • Request the release of seed funding to teams in several installments against specific deliverables
  • Communicate sessions’ progress to the Project Manager and maintain participants’ attendance records
  • Communicate seed funding disbursement progress to Project Manager and maintain a copy of teams’ financial records.

Program implementation and quality

  • Facilitate Training of Trainers workshops
  • Support in program events and workshops
  • Perform other related duties, as assigned or requested, especially in cases where new and large multi-stakeholder projects arise other than INJAZ programs.  
  • Coordinate with initiative participants & ensure a timely progress of their operation
  • Gather testimonials from beneficiaries
  • Ensure availability of all needed program materials through the sessions and coordinates with Project Coordinators on printing requirements

Others:

  • Attend team meetings
  • Undertake other related duties, as assigned or requested by the Programs Manager
  • Check all required documents (Leaves, EM, TM)

Position Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Social Science, Developmental Studies, Public Administration or another relevant field 
  • Min. of 3 to 5 years of professional experience in business development, entrepreneurship, education, business or social sector including management experience.
  • Sincere interest in the mission of INJAZ Lebanon and in entrepreneurship.
  • Knowledgeable of the ecosystem (Education, NGOs, Community centers) 
  • Strong relationship-building and presentation skills
  • Ability to work independently and under pressure
  • Highly organized and motivated, ability to multitask in a timely manner, team player
  • Solid communication skills and participatory training skills.
  • Fluency in Arabic and English is a must.
  • Experience in running a startup or an SME is a plus.
