Responsibilities

The HR Assistant will undertake functions as mentioned below:

  • Ensures implementation of HR processes as per I’m Possible rules, regulations, policies and strategies;
  • Assist in the recruitment process including developing job descriptions, preparing job adverts, checking application forms, shortlisting, interviewing and preparing contracts;
  • Identify legal requirements and government reporting regulations affecting human resources functions and ensuring policies, procedures, and reporting are in compliance
  • Do the calculation and payment of NSSF (social security) and income taxes via Ministry of Finance (monthly and yearly) as well as all other annual declarations to Ministry of Finance
  • Ensure a properly working filing system of personnel files with respect to relevant documents, contracts, and payment files, performance reviews, and terminations, and promotions.
  • Administer payroll and maintain employee records ensuring personnel files are updated and reviewed every 3 months, timely collection of personnel timesheets, supporting in the processing of wages on a monthly basis and maintaining records of absence and leaves.
  • Support and manage the performance appraisal review.
  • Plan and deliver training, including new staff inductions.
  • Ensure the confidentiality of information dealt with the course of the administration work.
  • Essential qualifications: Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources Management, business Administration or related fields
  • Essential experience Minimum of 2 years in HR or admin supportExperience in emergency work is a plus, Experience with INGO (advantage)

  • Competency profile:

  • Competence using information technology including experience with word-processing, spreadsheets and database software.
  • Strong knowledge of HR administration, processes and policies
  • Excellent communication skills (reading, writing, speaking).
  • Excellent organizational skills, ability to determine priorities and attention to detail a must.
  • Demonstrated interpersonal skills, sound judgment, planning and team building and facilitating skills. Ability to work in a multicultural context as a flexible and respectful team player.
  • Excellent command of English and Arabic
