House of Peace (HOPe), officially registered as Threads of Peace in 2019, is a non-governmental social peacebuilding organization based in Lebanon. HOPe aims through different activities to enhance social peace within local communities by shifting perceptions; supporting and connecting community-based initiatives and dialogue spaces; advancing the principles of conflict sensitivity; and voicing grassroots perspectives, stories and aspirations. PROJECT EXECUTIVE SUMMARY

The Conflict Sensitivity Unit aims at advancing the Conflict Sensitivity approach among local NGOs, INGOs, activists, Social Initiatives, and Volunteers. By mainstreaming the CS through training, follow-ups, and leading the Lebanon Conflict Sensitivity Forum.

CALL FOR APPLICANTS for Conflict Sensitivity Trainings

The Conflict Sensitivity unit is inviting local NGOs, INGOs, Social Initiatives, and Volunteers from all over Lebanon to apply for attending a Conflict Sensitivity Training.

These trainings are provided for each organization individually, the minimum number of participants is 8 and the maximum is 15, and up to 2 groups(trainings) per organization.

House of Peace offers three kinds of trainings on CS:

· Conflict Sensitivity Training for staff level l: a 3 days’ workshop covering context and conflict analysis, Do No Harm and Conflict Sensitivity approach, project interaction analysis, and a CS action plan. Followed by a follow up meeting that is determined based on the groups’ action plan.

· Conflict Sensitivity Training for Staff level ll : a 3 days’ advanced CS training provided for the participants of the first training and/or senior management that have prior knowledge on CS. This workshop covers System Thinking Analysis, resource transfer, and Explicit /ethical messages.

· Conflict Sensitivity Training for Volunteers: a 1-day workshop covering Do No Harm and Conflict Sensitivity Approach introduction, analysis of Attitudes, behaviors, and actions and their effect on the served community, ends with CS steps/guidelines to be developed by the group.

Requirements:

- be committed to the period of the trainings as well as the follow up process.

- Be willing to sign an MOU with House of Peace.

- Have the minimum of 8 staff, if applying for CS level 1 and 2.

- Be willing to attend an introduction meeting with HOPe CS members prior to the trainings.

- Appoint a focal point to be communicated with regarding the coordination of the trainings
