forumZFD is looking for a Videographer Consultant in Beirut

DESCRIPTION OF THE SERVICE:

Non Violent Communication vox-pop series: The assignment is the production of a series of three social media 3 min. video composed of voxpop interviews with random citizens (5 interviewees) and final interview with trainer will be elaborated to raise awareness about the importance of applying Nonviolent communication techniques during daily life. With the aim of getting closer to the general population and diverse communities in Lebanon we will formulate questions to people in different cities about their quotidian life and habits when communicating with their beloved ones. Subsequently, local NonViolent Communication experts will explain the NVC interpretation of those situations and offer NVC tips for those who are willing to improve their relationships.

SCOPE OF THE WORK:

Under the supervision of the Advocacy and Communication team, the specific roles and responsibilities are:

• Production of social media videos including: a detailed script/storyboard, interviews, videography, editing, audio balancing, subtitling, format exporting, archiving RAW and edited work, etc., and all relevant formats with the right specifications for each platform.

• The use of the contractor/s’ own HD/4K quality equipment, accessories, and editing software.

• Translation & Embedded subtitles for the videos as per need.

• Audio balance of the final products and conversion into formats for use on different social media channels.

• Locations clearly identified by name and age of interviewees, and any other relevant details.

• Inclusion of appropriate forumZFD branding, donor’s branding and crediting of forumZFD ownership for the produced videos.

DELIVERABLES AND DELIVERY DATES:

• Development of the detailed timeline, script and shooting plan for the videos, in close consultation with relevant forumZFD focal points. The initial concept and plan will be discussed and agreed in advance. Interviews and locations for shooting will be arranged with support from forumZFD communication’s team. Finalize the videos according to feedback provided by forumZFD.
• Video production: Prepare a first cut of the video in Arabic with English subtitles for forumZFD’s review and feedback. (3 rounds of edits included in the costs)

• English/Arabic subtitles on an as needed basis

• Postproduction (assembly, sound, processing, etc.)

• Delivery of a trailer of the video for social media in different formats:

1. HD/4K clean version
2. HD/4K version with English subtitles (and Arabic subtitles if needed)
3. Youtube
4. Facebook
5. Instagram

• Delivery of b-roll content and unedited footage to forumZFD. 

• Delivery of the final product both online and in a USB drive

TECHNICAL REQUIREMENTS:

• Resolution: 16:9, HD 1080 25p/1080 29.97/30p or 4K + Different social media requirements.

• Duration: a maximum of 3 minutes for the social media videos.

• The expected results must follow forumZFD branding guidelines (titles, typography, colours, etc.) and respect donor’s branding guidelines that will be provided to the videographer.

• Framing: different visual perspectives such as establishing shots, portrait, medium and close-up shots as defined in the script.

QUALIFICATIONS AND EXPERIENCE

The contractor/s are expected to possess the following qualifications:

• At least five years of experience in high level videography/video editing

• Strong theoretical and practical background in videography, including possession and ability to use the most current version of HD cameras, sound and lighting equipment, and most recent editing software.

• Languages: fluency in both Arabic and English

• The contractor/s must be based in Lebanon.

• Experience with other NGOs will be an asset.

TECHNICAL AND FINANCIAL PROPOSAL

Interested individuals will submit a technical proposal should include, but not be limited to, the following:

• Short profile including cover letter with a brief presentation of your consultancy explaining you are suitable for the work, CV, diploma of videography-related studies, references.

• Detailed individual portfolio (reel and web links to produced videos) showcasing range of work (films, commercials, documentaries, etc.).

• Financial proposal: Proposed cost per all-inclusive fee per video product including postproduction, translating and subtitling.
• Production capabilities: quality video production, including related hardware/software.
