Flamme de Charité is a non-governmental organization working on ensuring that all underpriviliged Lebanese families have access to their basic needs. We believe that every human being deserves a decent and happy life.

To support our mission, we have created 7 programs ensuring the basic needs of our community: Education, Food, Health, Shelter, Clothing, Elderly and kids accessories and Financial aid.

Job Purpose

The Fundraising Officer will help ensure the financial sustainability of Flamme de Charité through the development of project proposals, completing grant applications, maintaining donor relationships and high-quality reporting. As the Fundraising Officer, your role will be to develop and implement fundraising initiatives that maximise income and raise awareness of our work. The main purpose being to secure funding for planned and ongoing activities and projects.

Responsibilities

• Conducting research on fundraising opportunities.
• Determine proposal concept by identifying and clarifying opportunities and needs, studying requests for proposal (RFPs).
• Draft proposals in response to appropriate calls for funding.
• Writing funding proposals and submitting these to potential donors.
• Conduct mapping, research and outreach to potential partners 
• Keep a track of potential and existing funding opportunities.
• Developing and executing fundraising strategies.
• Fostering ongoing relationships with donors by providing updates or checking in with regular or recurring supporters.
• Implementing a variety of marketing strategies and promotional campaigns.
• Forming relationships with private donors and FdC allies to increase funding revenue. 
• Planning and executing fundraising events, such as online fundraisers, to increase non-donor revenue.
• Finding other new low-risk low-cost methods to acquire funds/assets.
• Other related tasks as needed.

JOB REQUIREMENTS

Education

• Bachelor's degree in PR, Fundraising, or any related field (preferably a master's degree).

 Experience

• At least 4 years of proven successful experience in proposal writing, with NGOs or INGOs.
• Experience in research and summarizing multi-source information.

Skills

• Excellent written and oral communication skills (especially in English).
• Excellent attention to details in terms of data, financial information and all written communication.
• Ability to organize and accurately complete multiple tasks by establishing priorities.
• Self-motivated with the capacity to work independently and remotely. 
• Comfortable leading on their own work and working alone.
• Extremely organized, reliable and proactive. 
• Good Microsoft Office & online research skills.

Language requirements

• Excellent level written and spoken English language. 
• Proficient in Arabic.
• Knowledge of French would be an asset.

Schedule and Salary

• Schedule: Flexible – Remotely 
• Salary: 20% of each donation acquired
