Agriculture Engineer Intern
Responsibilities:
Market Need Assessment:
Identify current and potential market demand for various types of flowers in Lebanon.
Analyze market trends, consumer preferences, and competitive landscape.
Conduct surveys and interviews with stakeholders, including farmers, wholesalers, retailers, and consumers.
Feasibility Study:
Evaluate potential locations for the flower farm, considering factors such as soil quality, climate, water availability, and proximity to markets.
Assess the technical requirements for flower cultivation, including irrigation systems, pest management, and post-harvest handling.
Estimate the initial investment and operational costs for establishing and running the flower farm.
Analyze the economic viability of the flower farm, including projected revenues, profit margins, and return on investment.
Data Collection and Analysis:
Gather relevant data from primary and secondary sources to support the market need assessment and feasibility study.
Use appropriate analytical tools and techniques to interpret data and draw meaningful conclusions.
Reporting and Presentation:
Prepare a detailed report summarizing the findings of the market need assessment and feasibility study.
Provide actionable recommendations based on the study’s outcomes.
Present the findings to the project team and relevant stakeholders.
Qualifications and Skills:
Currently pursuing or recently completed a degree in Agricultural Engineering, Agribusiness, or a related field.
Strong knowledge of agricultural practices, particularly in flower cultivation.
Experience in market research, data collection, and analysis.
Proficient in using analytical tools and software.
Excellent communication and presentation skills.
Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
Strong organizational and time management skills.
