DT Global is seeking a Solar Site Engineer Consultant STTA for the Innovation for Affordable and Renewable Energy for All (INARA) Activity under the Initiative to Deliver Essential Assistance and Services (IDEAS) Project for USAID in Lebanon with DT Global.
Through INARA, USAID seeks to increase the supply of electricity generation at the community level and to increase the cost-effectiveness, eco-friendliness, sustainability, and reliability of power supply, while clarifying and strengthening the enabling environment for renewable energy-based electrical power generation.
INARA is looking to hire a long-term consultant Solar Site engineer to support INARA’s interventions. The position is based in Chlifa, Lebanon.

Required Qualifications:
- 7+ years of experience of ground mounted solar system installation.
- Bachelor’s degree or higher in engineering.
- Knowledge of medium voltage systems and interconnection of variable energy sources to distributions network.
- Experience with battery energy storage systems.
- Experience with variable energy control and SCADA systems.
- Experience in site quality assurance based on execution and coordination drawings.
- Good reporting and communication skills.
- Good problem-solving skills.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Priority is given to applicants from the surrounding area of Chlifa (Baalbeck-Hermel governorate).
- Prior experience with USAID or international development projects.
- Good knowledge of civil and structural solar system mounting solutions.
- Previous experience with the implementation of utility scale solar systems.
Scope of work includes:
- Site construction management and oversite for a utility scale solar farm.
- Site quality assurance with daily technical follow-up with subcontractors and consultants.
- Coordination with INARA’s technical team and daily reporting.
- Completion of requests for inspections for materials and works.
- Ensuring site compliance to codes and standards (safety, workmanship and other).
- Managing site schedule and compliance to program of works.
- Ensuring the proper implementation in accordance with design drawings (execution, coordination, etc.).
- Ensuring proper documentation and logistics on site.
