Background
DCA Lebanon has worked in mine action since 2007. In addition to reducing the harm from explosion, clearance activities also release contaminated land for socio-economic development in the context of rising demands from the local and refugee population. In 2012, DCA began implementing humanitarian and development projects through local partners and scaled up its operations in 2021 due to the deepening crisis in the country.

Role
The Data clerk/Radio Operator assists the Operations Manager and Quality Assurance Officer and is responsible for providing a focus for all information, both externally and to, from and between DCA operational teams and departments.
Responsibilities
- Ensure that daily reports received via all available communications networks are entered correctly on the relevant information boards and that all information is updated on a daily basis.
- In cooperation with the FOOs, ensure all team lists, CASEVAC flow charts and contact details are updated and always correct, and that all DCA senior staff and operational teams are informed of any changes or amendments.
- Archive all collated and recorded information.
- Back up all updated entries onto the Operations external hard drive/DCA Lebanon server.
- In cooperation with the LMAC operations and IMSMA operators, ensure DCA operations are fully up to date in all reporting requirements and formats including IMSMA.
- Provide a focus for all operational teams for the LMAC/RMAC reporting requirements and formats.
- Update of Operational Maps/Board and the location of Mine Action Teams.
- Maintain copies of all Handover Certificates, task dossiers and any other files received from the LMAC/RMAC.
- Assist the Operations Department in translating documents (Arabic and English).
- Supervise DCA communications operators to ensure they are in regular contact with all operational teams using all available means.
- Ensure that radio traffic logs are kept up to date and archived on a monthly basis.
- Ensure that correct voice and net security procedures are maintained.
- Responsible for updating the daily operational attendance and the Data Base by the beginning of each week.
- Coordinate a regular flow of any updated information is distributed to all departments. (Call signs, team lists etc.).
- Work closely with the FOOs to ensure that all data is correct.
- Perform such other duties as may be assigned by the Quality Assurance Officer and Operations Manager.
- Carry out other tasks as dictated by changing circumstances or as required by the Operations Manager and Quality Assurance Officer.
- Collect all available operational reports and update information boards to reflect totals on a daily, weekly and monthly basis:

Background
- At least 2 years of relevant experience in data entry, radio operations, or a similar role within a humanitarian or operational setting.
- Experience in working with communication systems such as VHF, UHF, and HF radios.
- Proven experience in managing and archiving data, ensuring accuracy and confidentiality.
- Familiarity with reporting systems, including IMSMA, and operational mapping.
- Proficiency in the use of standard office software (e.g., MS Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
- Ability to translate documents between Arabic and English efficiently and accurately.
- Strong understanding of CASEVAC protocols and communication security procedures.
- Effective communication skills to follow instructions, report findings, and collaborate within a team.
- Ability to carry out tasks safely and without objections in a team environment.
- Ability to adapt to changing circumstances.
- Bachelor’s degree in communications, Information Management, or a related field.
- Languages: Proficiency in Arabic and English (written and spoken).
- Strong organizational and data management skills, with an excellent eye for detail.
- Effective communication skills, ensuring smooth coordination between teams and departments.
- Problem-solving skills and ability to adapt to changing operational circumstances.
- Ability to work under pressure in a fast-paced environment.
- Team-oriented, with a proactive and collaborative approach to tasks.

Reporting
- Regular reports on the performance and services will be submitted to the Operations Manager on a weekly basis.
- Regular check-ins and feedback sessions will be conducted to ensure effective coordination and support.
