The USAID-funded LEAD Program aims to support the quality in the public education by focusing on improving the physical and psychosocial environment as a means to reinforcing social cohesion.

Overall Objectives: 
The program activities have three objectives: - Creating a healthy and safe educational environment through improved physical space, basic infrastructure, and increased access to appropriate technology for in public schools - Increase the interdependence of schools and communities through student, parent, and targeted community members engagement in the local schools. - Enhance student growth outside the classroom through extracurricular clubs
Activities: 
The LEAD program will enhance the educational environment in 66 public schools in North and Mount Lebanon through: Minor infrastructure improvements; Provisions of equipment and supplies that can be practically applied to current curricula; and, Promotion of an integrated educational environment through awareness raising campaigns and extracurricular activities (which promote tolerance, community involvement, and leadership)
