For:    Trainers / consultants or a firm to deliver a 6 days face to face trainings on online safety for 65 young women and men in Tripoli and its surrounging

1          Overview of the British Council

2          Introduction and Specification

 

Increased Resilience project in Tripoli phase 4 aims to continue to increase the individual resilience of young women and men in 8 “hotspot” areas at risk of violent extremism (that is areas where significant recruitment to violent extremism has occurred and where violence ideology is increasing) in Tripoli city and its neighbourhoods. It will also increase the collective resilience among the different groups of young people that are at risk of VE and CSOs, from across divided communities, by enabling them to work together on a common objective.

The British Council operating in Lebanon is looking for trainers/firm or consultant who can deliver a Trainers / consultants or a firm to deliver a 6 days face to face trainings on online safety for 65 young women and men in Tripoli and its surrounging.

The supplier shall provide the following Services and Deliverables to the British Council:

  • Prepare and submit all training materials covering the capacity building training topic, curriculum, to the British Council 1 week prior to the training
  • Meet with the project manager and the PMER senior expert, to design the pre and post questionnaire and administer pre and post-tests to show the impact and the acquired knowledge of the attendees.
  • Deliver 6 days training for 65 young women and men in Tripoli and its surrounding, young people will be divided into 3 groups, each group includes 21 participants, each group will receive a 2 day’s training on online safety.
  • Submit End of assignment report on acquired knowledge including the trainees’ answers on pre and post-test highlighting, challenges, recommendations, and training outcomes.

 

Training outcomes

At the end of the training, the trainees should manifest an in depth understanding, and acquire tools in their hands to be able to:

  • How young people use the internet and technology
  • The potential risks young people face online
  • Harmful content online
  • Online radicalisation and extremism
  • Sharing of sexual images
  • Sexual offending against young people and women online
  • Cyberbullying
  • Detailed support for individuals and organisations provided
  • Support and information for young people
  • How to make your setting a safer place for children to explore the online world

 

Required materials:

  • Language of training: Arabic/ English for technical terms
  • Training materials including Power point presentation, Agenda of the workshop, exercises, tools – in English and Arabic
  • pre and post-test questionnaire – In English and Arabic
  • Submit end of assignment report on acquired knowledge including the trainees’ answers on pre and post-test and highlights, challenges, recommendations, and training outcome- In English and Arabic

3     Quotation Validity

3.1       Your quotation must remain open for acceptance by the British Council for a minimum of thirty days from the date that it is issued to the British Council in response to this requirement.

4          Payment and Invoicing

4.1       The British Council will pay correctly addressed and undisputed invoices within 30 days of the Invoice Date. General requirements for an invoice for the British Council include:

  • A description of the good/services supplied is included.
  • The British Council reference (i.e. Purchase Order number) is included.

5          Instructions for Responding

5.1       Your quotation must be submitted to [email protected] by 8 December 2021, 5:00 P.M Beirut time.

6          Clarification Requests

6.1       All clarification requests should be submitted to [email protected].  

7          Award Criteria

7.1       Responses from potential suppliers will be assessed and awarded based on the lowest cost.
