Main tasks:

- I- Reporting

-In coordination with the outreach team and/or CBOs staff, defining the groups of eligible children that can be enrolled in the courses.

-Collect data of all the information regarding the beneficiaries: (child registration, family baseline assessment form and Pre/post tests and other information related to the project activities).

-Update the online database system with activities, data and attendance at least with a frequency of once/week.

- Coordinate directly with school principals and supervisors for data collection related to students and their school performance.

- Prepare the list of children to be referred to ALP/ formal education with regular follow up with families and provision of feedback.

II- Education Technical 

- Ensure that the program is carried out in compliance with MEHE SOP for CB-ECE, BLN and retention in centers and schools.

- Follow up regularly the activities in the centers and schools (and remotely) by using the technical tools provided in the project.

- Ensure and maintain positive and supportive communication and feedback with public school principals and staff.

-Coordinate with the education specialist and the field coordinator for the follow up of the teachers.

  • Submit the weekly technical report.
  • Provide on-job coaching and technical support for teachers and teachers’ assistants in the center: class observation, one to one meeting, peer to peer support, putting in practice the guidance received from the education specialist/trainings.
  • Monitor the overall quality of retention courses inside public schools in line with the trainings provided for public schools’ teachers.
  • Ensure the inclusiveness of children with special needs in the educational classes.

III- Child Protection

- Ensure that all personnel’s working with the center and/or dealing with children remotely are respecting the conditions of AVSI child protection policy on which they have been trained.

-Identify children with special needs or potential Child Protection abuse cases and refer to the area CP officer.

-Identify caregivers to be engaged in the educational activities and plan for this activities with the filed coordinator/ technical team.

- Conduct regular meetings and awareness sessions with caregivers in public schools and center, and to implement remotely the caregivers Support intervention.

- Conduct orientation sessions for caregivers at the beginning of the program and portfolio day at the end of the program and provide continuous communication and feedback for caregivers.

- Organize Monthly Education/ CP meeting with the teachers and personnel in the centers with a clear agenda and feedback to be shared with the field coordinator and the EDU/CP technical team.

IV- Management of resources in centers/ schools

- Ensure that the program is carried out in compliance with EU and AVSI administrative procedures.

- Identify and refer the administrative/ logistic needs of the centers and schools to the field coordinator/office coordinator/ logistic responsible (Maintenance, materials, goods and supplies, teachers’ issues etc.)

- Guarantee the exclusive use of the center’s hotline for professional purposes: communication with caregivers and center personnel.

- Guarantee the correct functioning of the transportation and snack service, by: 

  • Preparing the bus lists and share it with logistics
  • Verifying the children benefitting of the transportation service with the list provided to the driver and update the bus lists.
  • Collecting and verifying, on a daily basis, the attendance of children and the number of snacks delivered and distributed
  • Reporting any issue concerning snacks and transportation to the supervisor and logistics
  • Timely submission of timesheets to the supervisor in the last day of activities in each month.

V-Others

- Participate in project staff training with other AVSI staff.

- Perform other duties within areas of responsibility as requested by the supervisor.
