Main tasks and responsibilities

Implementation:
• Conduct home visits when necessary and appropriate.
• Support the animators and center staff in the identification of children at risk or child survivors and in receiving referrals for case management.
• Conduct assessments and prioritize cases based on the level of risk.
• Provide individual case management for children in accordance with case management steps, tools, and procedures.
• Develop case plans that respond to the child's needs, harm, and build on the strengths of the family and child.
• Ensure the provision of emergency cash assistance for the most vulnerable children, according to the needs of the child, the agreed criteria and the internal procedures and under the supervision of the supervisor.
• Monitor, follow up, and review cases according to established timelines.
• Participate and collaborate in recreational, psychosocial, awareness activities conducted inside or outside the centers when requested by the supervisor.
• Support the child protection team in conducting psychosocial support (PSS) activities both inside the selected centers and remotely when needed, ensuring that vulnerable children receive continued emotional and psychological support.
Collaboration and coordination:
• Coordinate with other CP team members, center staff, and local stakeholders to ensure a comprehensive and integrated approach to child protection and caregiver support.
• Participate in regular case discussions and coordination meetings to share insights and improve the quality of services provided.
• Work closely with all partners and actors to ensure proper referral pathways in the area of intervention and build a network with all actors working around implementation gateways.
• Coordinate closely with the MEAL department to ensure that child protection activities are effectively monitored, evaluated, and aligned with program goals. This includes sharing relevant data, providing updates on program progress, and collaborating on the development of tools for tracking the impact of child protection interventions. Additionally, support the MEAL team in gathering feedback from beneficiaries, ensuring accountability to children and caregivers, and contributing to the continuous learning process to improve program outcomes.
• Actively coordinate with the MEAL department to ensure the effective monitoring and evaluation of child protection activities mainly the case management component. This includes regularly sharing case data, assisting in the development and implementation of monitoring tools, and ensuring that accurate documentation is maintained.
• Support the MEAL team in collecting feedback from children and caregivers, ensuring accountability mechanisms are in place, and integrating lessons learned into case management practices to enhance the quality and impact of child protection interventions.
Documentation and Reporting:

• Ensure proper documentation and compilation of case management forms in line with case management steps, tools, and procedures.
• Adhere to Data Protection Protocols and Information Sharing Agreements while preparing and submitting reports.
• Write weekly reports that compile case load data, analyze trends, identify challenges, and provide recommendations.
• Provide weekly updates to the supervisor, outlining progress on cases and activities.
Other Responsibilities:

• Participate actively in all mandatory trainings and workshops provided by AVSI and/ or the sector to improve knowledge and skills.
• Participate in the development of technical documents, presentations, and reports and documenting achievements and lessons learned.
• Perform other duties within areas of responsibility as requested by the supervisor.
