Supply and Installation of irrigation network for Menjez hill lake – Proc. Ref.: W3/2020 - Update

 

1. The Ministry of Agriculture (MoA) has received a grant from the International Fund for Agricultural Development (IFAD) towards the cost of Climate Smart Agriculture: Enhancing Adaptive Capacity of the Rural Communities in Lebanon (AgriCAL) and intends to apply part of the funds to cover eligible payments under the Contract for the Supply and Installation of irrigation network for Menjez hill lake - Proc. Ref.: W3/2020.

2. The Project Coordination Unit (PCU) invites sealed bids from interested and qualified bidders for the implementation of abovementioned works under the Contract: Supply and Installation of irrigation network for Menjez hill lake.

Duration of Works: two (2) months.

3. Minimum qualification requirements include:

a) Average annual financial amount of construction works performed for the last five years makes US$ 400,000 at least.

b) Experience in the successful construction of at least two (2) works of a nature and complexity similar to the Works required over the past five (5) years;

4. Bidding will be conducted through the National Competitive Bidding (NCB) procedures method set out in IFAD’ Project Procurement Guidelines and Handbook – September 2010. Bidding is open to all bidders from Eligible Source Countries as defined in the Bidding Documents.

5. All bids shall be accompanied by a Bid Security of US$ 3,500 (Three Thousand and Five Hundred United States Dollars) or its equivalent in Lebanese pounds.

How to apply

1. Interested eligible Bidders obtain the Bidding Documents in English by sending an official email (mentioning the bidder name, address, contact person and phone number) to [email protected], Attention: Ms. Amal Deghaili, AgriCAL procurement officer before Monday 18th of May 2020 at 11:00 a.m. Beirut Local Time.  

The pre-bid meeting was cancelled. Bidders requiring any clarification of the bidding documents shall notify the Project Coordination Unit (PCU) in writing at the PCU's email address mentioned above. The PCU will respond to any request for clarification received earlier than 21 days prior to the deadline for submission of bids. Copies of the PCU's response will be forwarded to all purchasers of the bidding documents, including a description of the inquiry, but without identifying its source.

2. Bids must be delivered to the address below at or before Monday 18th of May 2020 at 11:00 a.m. Beirut local time. Electronic bidding shall not be permitted. Late bids will be rejected and returned to the Bidders unopened. Bids will be opened physically in the presence of the bidders’ representatives who choose to attend in person at the address below at Monday 18th of May 2020 at 11:15 a.m. Beirut local time.
