ABOUT ABAAD
ABAAD– Resource Center for Gender Equality is a UN ECOSOC accredited organization that aims to achieve gender equality as an essential condition to sustainable social and economic development in the MENA region. ABAAD advocates for the development and implementation of policies and laws that enhance women’s effective participation, through a rights-based approach that would bring about tangible change to gender justice. With the purpose of ending gender-based violence, ABAAD adopts a holistic care approach to provide protection and support services to GBV survivors/right holders during times of peace, war and disasters since 2011.
OVERALL GOAL OF THIS ASSIGNMENT
The project entitled “Makani: Education, Protection, Empowerment, and Community inclusion in Lebanon” aims to enhance educational services, empower caregivers, and support economically vulnerable mothers. The project is targeting mothers of economically vulnerable families with children excluded or at risk of exclusion from school build pathways to economic empowerment and social inclusion and improve their opportunities to access income by focusing on achieving four main results: Livelihood promotion, social protection, social empowerment, and financial inclusion. Diverse livelihood options and sources of income will be provided through vocational trainings. This training focuses on enhancing participants' knowledge and skills in marketing and promoting products, services, and businesses through social media and other advertising platforms. The training will be consisting of 15 days, for a group of 10 to 20 women.
Duties and Responsibilities
The Marketing and Social Media Advertising Trainer will:
- Curriculum Development
- Design a training curriculum tailored to digital marketing and social media advertising.
- Include modules on branding, paid advertising, and leveraging social media platforms effectively.
- Training Delivery
- Conduct practical workshops to:
- Teach participants how to create engaging content for social media.
- Train participants on managing accounts on platforms like Instagram, Facebook, and WhatsApp Business.
- Guide participants on running paid advertisements and tracking performance metrics.
- Introduce techniques for organic growth, such as engaging storytelling and community building.
- Conduct practical workshops to:
- Digital Marketing Strategies
- Teach participants how to develop content calendars for consistent posting.
- Provide insights on using analytics tools to monitor and optimize campaign performance.
- Market Research and Customer Engagement
- Guide participants on identifying target audiences and tailoring their marketing strategies accordingly.
- Teach methods for responding to customer inquiries and building lasting relationships.
- Evaluation of skills acquired
- Develop a pre- and post-to evaluate the skills acquired by the participants, and prepare a report reporting the findings
Logistical Arrangements: If applying as an organization, you will be responsible for booking the venue and providing any necessary materials. This must be reflected in your portfolio and proposal.

- Outcome: Participants can ensure consistent income generation and expand their market presence.
Skills Required
- Proven expertise in digital marketing and social media advertising.
- Experience in facilitating training sessions, especially for small businesses or startups, particularly to marginalized or vulnerable groups, experience with women is an asset
- Strong communication and facilitation skills to engage participants effectively.
- Ability to design and deliver structured training tailored to participants' needs.
- Familiarity with analytics tools and social media advertising platforms.

Evaluation:
Interested candidates should send an Expression of Interest to careers@abaadmena.org by March 11, 2025 mentioning the training title in the email subject line,including:
- CV/portfolio, demonstrating previous experience in the same requested field;
- List of consultancies and similar trainings conducted in the previous years.
Based on the EoI received, pre-selected candidates will be invited for the second phase of evaluation through a tender in which bidders will be asked to submit a detailed technical and financial offer.The technical evaluation will assess the relevance and adequacy of the proposed approach and the expertise of the consultant, ensuring alignment with the assignment’s objectives and requirements. The financial evaluation will review the cost-effectiveness and overall budget feasibility. Both sections must be satisfactorily addressed for a bid to be considered for award.
