Illustrator

Purpose of the assignment:

Kvinna till Kvinna is looking for an illustrator to provide illustrations that will be used as podcast visual material and in a knowledge production product. The topic is related to women’s decision-making experiences with a focus on political participation and Women’s Economic Empowerment.

Deliverables and specific tasks:

Visual Materials:

• Provide 5 illustrations to be used as visual Materials for a series of 5 podcasts.

Knowledge Production Product:

• Provide illustrations for a Knowledge Production Product which will result from the series of Podcasts.

The illustrator is responsible to deliver 2 drafts in the beginning of the assignment to set the style, colors and details.

Management and organisation:

The illustrator will be working closely with the Kvinna till Kvinna team to ensure that the illustrations represent the content of the podcasts and the knowledge production product. The illustrator will be responsible for completing and delivering the above specified deliverables to Kvinna till Kvinna.

Deadlines:

• The series of podcasts will run tentatively from June to July 2024. The deadlines for deliverables of the illustrations for the podcasts will be agreed upon between Kvinna till Kvinna, and the illustrator.
• The Knowledge Production Product will be published in 2025. The deadlines for deliverables of the illustrations for the Knowledge Production Product will be agreed upon between Kvinna till Kvinna, and the illustrator

Contracted illustrators cannot further subcontract the assignment.

Required qualifications:

• Minimum six years’ experience in design and illustration.
• Willingness to share portfolio and sample of previous work in design and illustration is a must.
• In-depth experience of reflecting content in illustrations, representative of the area.
• Experience in working with content related to gender issues.

The work plan for the implementation of the assignment will be developed in partnership with Kvinna till Kvinna team.
