Expert on Gender Transformative Approaches and Community Building

Purpose of the assignment:

Kvinna till Kvinna is looking for an expert on the below topics to conduct online training sessions:

• Gender Transformative Approaches: Practical Implementation
• Community Building: Strategic Engagement with Communities

The target are small to medium Syrian organizations experienced in gender and women’s rights issues.

Scope of Work

The expert’s responsibilities will include:

• Collaborating with the organizing team to understand the session’s objectives, agenda, and participant profiles.
• Designing and planning interactive sessions that align with the training goals.
• Encouraging participant interaction, feedback, and reflection throughout the sessions.

The plan is to have two to three online sessions on the above topic, 3 to 4 hours per session.

Deliverables

The expert will deliver the following:

• Agenda outlining objectives and activities of each session.
• Active and effective facilitation/training during the sessions.
• Summary report or insights gathered from participant discussions for each session.

Management and organisation:

The expert will be working closely with the Kvinna till Kvinna team to ensure that the sessions reach their objectives. The expert will be responsible for completing and delivering the above specified deliverables to Kvinna till Kvinna.

Timeline:

The sessions will be between June and September 2024

Contracted expert cannot further subcontract the assignment.

Required qualifications:

• Proven experience in training on Gender Transformative Approaches and Community Building
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to manage group dynamics and create a safe and inclusive environment for all participants.
• Familiarity with interactive facilitation techniques and tools.
• Flexibility and adaptability to meet the unique needs of each session.
• Arabic Language is a must.
• Experience in facilitation in MENA region.

The exact dates of the events will be discussed and approved by the expert and the Kvinna till Kvinna team.
