About Rahma Medical Center 

RMC is a non-profit organization founded in 1997. It is recognized as one of the best rehabilitation centers in Lebanon. It has earned a good reputation in the field of rehabilitation due to the best services it offers and its patient care system.
Most people choose Rahma Medical Center because of the experienced staff that provides physical and occupational therapy, speech therapy, social and psychological services for patients of all ages(from children to adults). Rahma Medical Center offers treatment for a range of conditions, from the most complex conditions including cerebral palsy, spinal cord injury, stroke and traumatic brain injury, to the more common, such as chronic pain and sports injuries.

ADJI has a zero tolerance to Sexual Exploitation and Abuse of beneficiaries.

Protection from Sexual Exploitation and Abuse (PSEA) is everyone’s responsibility and all staff are required to adhere to the Code of Conduct, that enshrines principles of PSEA, always (both during work hours and outside work hours). Familiarization with, and adherence to, the Code of Conduct is an essential requirement of all staff, in addition to related mandatory training. All staff must ensure that they understand and act in accordance with this clause.

Those therapists will be providing rehabilitation services (physical, psychomotor, occupational therapy, and psychotherapy) for CwDs, PwDs, and older persons in their areas and in the surrounding near areas to bring wellness and mobility to physical disabilities. CwDs, PwDs, elders, and their caregivers will be targeted in Akkar. the therapist will be providing rehab services and will facilitate education sessions for the beneficiaries and their caregivers.

About Project

According to the new community based rehabilitation CBR program and in collaboration with LHF/ UN OCHA, Rahma hospital- Association Des Jeunes Islamiques (ADJI) will provide community based multidisciplinary rehabilitation services to CWDS, PWDS & elderly to meet their emergency needs in order to prevent long-term functional/physical impairment and ensure adequate referral to specialized services.

The project will cover the most vulnerable areas of Mhammara, Ouadi Khaled (Amayer), Bebnine, Halba, Mazareaa Jabal Akroum, Berqayel, Machta Hamoud in Akkar district and in Trablous El-Qobbe, Trablous El-Tell, Trablous El-Haddadine, El-Hadid, El-Mharta, Trablous et Tabbaneh, Trablous Ez-Zeitoun, Mina N3 in Tripoli district.

In Tripoli, ADJI will deliver the services through its rehabilitation center and mobile team, while in Akkar, ADJI will deliver the services in the locals rehabilitation center/clinics through contracted therapists distributed over the areas of intervention to transfer its knowledge to local actors, create a sustainable action and improve accessibility to the services by release the transportation burden.

Requirements for Physical Therapist Centers:

Education and Licensure:

A minimum of a Master's degree in Physical Therapy from an accredited program. Many centers may require a Doctorate in Physical Therapy (DPT).

State licensure as a Physical Therapist, with compliance with all regulatory requirements. Licensure must be up-to-date and in good standing.

Clinical Experience:

Demonstrated clinical experience in evaluating, diagnosing, and treating patients with various physical conditions, injuries, and disabilities.

Proficiency in applying a range of physical therapy techniques, exercises, and modalities.

Knowledge and Skills:

Strong understanding of anatomy, physiology, biomechanics, and the principles of physical therapy.

Effective communication skills to interact with patients, families, and interdisciplinary teams.

Proficiency in using electronic medical record (EMR) systems and relevant software for documentation.

Ethical and Professional Standards:

Adherence to ethical guidelines and professional standards set by relevant licensing boards and professional organizations.

Interpersonal Skills:

Empathy, compassion, and strong interpersonal skills to build rapport and trust with patients and their families.

Physical Requirements:

Ability to perform physical tasks required in the job, such as assisting patients with exercises, lifting, and positioning.

Continuous Learning:

Willingness and commitment to ongoing professional development, including attending relevant workshops, seminars, and continuing education courses.

Legal and Regulatory Compliance:

Knowledge of and compliance with federal, state, and local laws and regulations governing physical therapy practice.

Cultural Competence:

Sensitivity and cultural competence to work effectively with diverse patient populations.

Team Collaboration:

Ability to work collaboratively with other healthcare professionals, including physicians, occupational therapists, nurses, and administrative staff.

Time Management:

Effective time management skills to prioritize patient care, documentation, and administrative tasks.
