In addition to other interventions in the area, AND is currently working on child protection, especially in the most deprived areas of Akkar, by providing education support, extra-curricular activities, and psychosocial interventions.

General objective of the job

The senior case management/ Case management supervisor will oversee and ensure the effective implementation of case management services within the project in accordance with sector’s guidance and national SOPs. This role includes supervising case management activities, supporting case workers, and ensuring that all cases receive comprehensive care and follow AND’s policies. The senior case management/ Case management supervisor will also play a crucial role in capacity building, data management, and coordination with other project stakeholders. S/he will coordinate closely with the SHIELD consortium education team, and ensure quality education delivery, supporting SHIELD management team in the daily implementation of activities.

Job Responsibilities:

  • Organize and facilitate regular case management.
  • Organize and facilitate case file review session and case supervision sessions to ensure appropriate case management procedures are followed and quality case management practices are implemented.
  • Ensuring all cases are managed efficiently and the case workers are supported in delivering high quality services.
  • Ensure that all cases documentation is accurate, up to date and stored in compliance with data protection and confidentiality policies.
  • Conduct regular review of case files and database.
  • Review and monitor staff management load to ensure they are manageable.
  • Provide direct support to complex cases needed and ensure regular monitoring of all case management activity.
  • Hold monthly Case worker mentoring and coaching sessions based on identified needs and gaps
  • Directly provide case management and psychosocial support services to vulnerable children, whenever there are gaps in service provision at the centers or community-based safe spaces.
  • Implement the case management supervision tools individually and orally with social workers on a regular basis
  • Identify, address and report (where necessary) main protection concerns, risks and trends, namely child labor, child marriage… including providing direct intervention on the field (jointly with CP officer when needed) with relevant stakeholders.
  • Follow up and update social workers’ capacity building plans.
  • Review outreach activities to ensure psychosocial strategies are incorporated
  • Ensure that outreach worker activities include key messages regarding psychosocial support services provided
  • Organize and facilitate trainings for outreach workers and other field team members that address issues of addressing CP services provided by caseworkers, responding to disclosure, and referring CP cases
  • Assess capacity and training needs amongst case workers and outreach workers, and develop capacity building strategies in collaboration with AND Management team.
  • Act as a CP reporting focal point in each field location, while ensuring adherence to the CP Guiding Principles, safeguarding policy and AND’s Data Protection Protocol
  • Complete the case management Client Satisfaction survey and give timely feedback to the MEAL officer.
  • Participate in weekly reporting and planning meetings to ensure adherence to standards of care, quality case management, and reporting requirements.
  • Collaborate with AND team members (especially other Protection teams, namely the GBV team) to ensure effective operations of safe spaces
  • As requested, undertake/participate in liaison, coordination, and information sharing activities with national NGOs, international organizations, donors and government.
  • Update CP Referral Pathways, be regularly updated on all new and changes in services to CP, and build relationships with other protection actors and area stakeholders.
  • Coordinate closely with the CP officer to improve the quality of Child Protection intervention and activities;
  • Coordinate closely with the Education officer and other project management team to ensure adherence to CP minimum standards, and compliance with sector guidance
  • Provide updates and reports on child protection activities to AND management team;
  • Participate in Child Protection Working Group, Child Labor Task Force, and other relevant coordination entities, when needed.
  • Liaise with partners’ case management supervisors on regular basis regarding the implementation of PSS activities
  • Attend regular calls, meetings, etc. as required by AND management team.
  • Support in AND’s activities when needed;

  • Clear Understanding of gender inequality, and issues of violence against children, women and girls.
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality.
  • Positive and professional attitude, able to organize, maintain composure and prioritize work under pressure, work overtime when necessary and be able to coordinate multiple tasks and maintain attention to detail.

Position Requirements and Qualifications:

  • Degree/diploma in Social Work, Counselling, or another related field
  • Counselling and training experience with a reputable organization, including 5 years of experience working with children and households in distress.
  • Must be computer literate, including Microsoft Word, Excel, All CP platforms (CPIMS, RIMS, RAIS…).
  • Fluent in Arabic and English

Reporting

The Senior case management/Case management supervisor shall report to the project Coordinator.
