About FISTA:

FIRST Step Together Association (FISTA) is a non-governmental organization dedicated to supporting individuals with cognitive impairments, communication disorders, psycho-motor difficulties, learning disabilities, attention deficit disorders, hyperactivity, behavioral, and psycho-social problems. Established in 1993 and located in North Lebanon, FISTA’s mission is to provide education, vocational training, and professional rehabilitation for persons with disabilities, and to advocate for their rights. FISTA adheres to a strict zero-tolerance policy against any form of gift, favor, or hospitality offered to its staff by suppliers. This policy extends to a firm stance against sexual harassment, exploitation, abuse, and child abuse, with a commitment to thoroughly investigate all allegations and take appropriate disciplinary action when necessary.

Project Title:

Advancing Inclusivity, Protection, and Resilience for Persons with Disabilities in North Lebanon through Local Authority Support and Enhanced Access to Mental Health Services. in collaboration with Expertise France under the SHABAKE 2 Project.

Project Objective:

To reduce vulnerabilities and inequalities among persons with disabilities in North Lebanon, by improving their mental health and psychosocial well-being and strengthening inclusivity and accessibility across healthcare and social development sectors.

Project Timeline:

June 2024 Till April 2025

Quotation Currency:

Position Title: Activity Coordinator

Responsibilities:

We are seeking a highly qualified Activity Coordinator to serve as a liaison between FISTA and its partners, ensure seamless communication. The primary role is to organize activities aimed at enhancing the well-being of individuals participating in mental health sessions both at the centers and within the community. In addition to logistical duties, the coordinator actively follows up with beneficiaries caregivers and specialists , offering ongoing support and addressing emerging needs.

Key responsibilities include:

Activity Planning and Monitoring:

· Develop, plan, and monitor the daily activities of the beneficiaries.

· Schedule, coordinate, and execute the events for beneficiaries.

· Manage and handle all refreshments distributed to beneficiaries daily.

· Coordinate the provision of transportation for the beneficiaries

· Welcome beneficiaries and assign them to their groups.

· Greet caregivers and ensure their needs are met.

· Coordinate with stakeholders on the field to ensure smooth implementation of the activities.

· Supervise beneficiaries during activities and collect their feedback to improve future events.

· Observe and report any medical concerns that may arise with the beneficiaries.

· Enforce and ensure compliance with all safety policies and procedures.

· Perform additional job-related duties as assigned.

· Ensure effective physical control and safe-keeping of property.

Qualifications and Experience

Qualifications and Experience:

· A Bachelor’s degree in social work or Psychology is required.

Soft Skills:

· Interpersonal Skills: Strong ability to relate well to others is essential.

· Communication Skills: Must possess excellent verbal communication and active listening skills.

· Patience: The ability to remain patient throughout the treatment process.

· Trustworthiness: Expected to maintain confidentiality of patient information.

· Empathy: An understanding and identification with others’ experiences.

· Critical Thinking Skills: The capacity to accurately diagnose and develop effective treatment plans.

· Respect for the roles and positions of each team member.

· Flexibility to adapt to special situations or supervisor requests.

· The ability to work with patients from diverse cultural and ethnic backgrounds.
