Market Analysis & Access Strategies for Entrepreneurs Trainer

Project Background:

 

The YMCA of Lebanon is looking for a qualified trainer to provide a two-day workshop on Market Analysis and Access Strategies for entrepreneurs and potential future entrepreneurs in central Bekaa. This workshop is a part of the Dareb-III project.

Dareb III project spreads out over 6 months. It aims to empower 30 young future entrepreneurs to gain entrepreneurial knowledge, develop soft and technical skills, and explore their potential by taking calculated risks to start and grow an enterprise.

 

The  workshop objectives:

  1. Equip participants with a thorough understanding of market dynamics, including trends, drivers, and challenges, to make informed business decisions.
  2. Provide participants with the knowledge and skills to identify and analyze target market segments based on demographic, geographic, psychographic, and behavioral factors.
  3. Acquire the skills and knowledge necessary to conduct comprehensive market assessments using various quantitative and qualitative analysis tools and frameworks.
  4. Enable entrepreneurs to conduct competitive analysis to identify direct and indirect competitors, assess their strengths and weaknesses, and devise strategies for gaining a competitive advantage.
  5. Educate participants about different market entry strategies and help them evaluate the risks and opportunities associated with each strategy to make strategic decisions for market entry.

Main Tasks and Responsibilities

  • Prepare and conduct pre and post-tests to monitor participants’ progress following the training.
  • Design and deliver a two-days’ workshop according to the provided objectives.
  • Meet with other trainers to ensure training materials are consistent and comprehensive, and avoid duplication.
  • Facilitate interactive discussions, activities, and exercises to enhance participants' understanding and skills.
  • Assess participants' progress and provide constructive feedback.
  • Collaborate with other facilitators, program coordinators, and stakeholders to ensure the smooth implementation of the training program.
  • Adapt training materials and methods as necessary to meet the needs of diverse participants.
  • At the end of the workshop, provide YMCA Project Manager with a final report

Time Frame/Duration

  • This task includes developing training materials and delivering 2 workshop days. The Trainer is expected to start developing the training materials in mid-June 2024.
  • The workshop will be scheduled to take place on weekends from 9:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m, between June and August.

 

Requirements:

Requirements for this position include:

  • a degree in business marketing or a relevant field
  • 3-4 years of experience delivering similar training.
  • Demonstrate experience in data collection and analysis, as well as proficiency in market research tools and techniques
  • Strong communication, organizational, and critical thinking skills.
  • Flexibility.
  • Fluent in Arabic
  • Strong reporting in English.  ( the YMCA of Lebanon will provide the report template)
