Field Supervisor

As a Field Supervisor for our community kitchen project, you will be responsible for overseeing the field work of the cash-for-work program and ensuring the smooth workflow of activities. The ideal candidate will possess strong leadership skills, experience in field supervision, and a commitment to community development.

Main tasks & responsibilities:

1. Supervision of Cash-for-Work Participants:

Under the direct supervision of the Program Manager:

• Direct and supervise participants involved in cash-for-work activities, including meal preparation, cleaning, and maintenance tasks.
• Provide guidance, training, and support to ensure participants understand their roles and responsibilities.
• Monitor performance and productivity levels, offering feedback and addressing any issues or concerns as they arise.

2. Workflow Management:

• Coordinate with kitchen staff to establish daily work schedules and allocate tasks efficiently.
• Ensure that work assignments are completed according to quality standards and project deadlines.
• Implement measures to optimize workflow and maximize productivity while adhering to safety protocols.

• Conduct regular inspections of work areas to ensure compliance with hygiene and sanitation standards.
• Monitor food preparation processes to maintain quality and consistency in meal production.
• Address any deviations from standards promptly and implement corrective actions as necessary.

• Maintain accurate records including participant attendance, work hours
• Communicate DAILY with PRORAM manager to provide updates on field activities and address any issues or concerns.

​​​​​​​5. Community Engagement:

• Foster positive relationships with community members participating in the cash-for-work program.
• Listen to feedback and suggestions from participants, addressing their needs and concerns effectively.
• Act as a liaison between project stakeholders, ensuring clear communication and mutual understanding of objectives.

Skills & Competencies:

• Computer literate (excel, word, PPT)
• Good command of English and Arabic
• Strong leadership skills with the ability to motivate and empower participants to achieve project goals.
• Excellent organizational and time management abilities, with the capacity to multitask and prioritize tasks effectively.
• Effective communication skills, both verbal and written, with the ability to interact professionally with diverse stakeholders.
• Knowledge of basic hygiene and safety practices, particularly in food handling environments.
• Flexibility to adapt to changing priorities and work outside regular hours when necessary.
• Commitment to the mission and values of the community kitchen project, with a passion for serving vulnerable populations.
